Im genuinely scared and worried about my mental condition because I keep constantly thinking about her. As an overthinker, I create 100 different scenarios in my head every day and always go from she will appreciate my confidence and courage to confess to her and give me a chance to she will also say she likes me back but was just hiding it because she was waiting on my move to she will not like me confessing to her because she has no feelings for me and only saw me as a friend which now she dont want either because she knows how I feel about her, and I feel like its affecting me in a bad way because Ive never felt this kind of pressure in my mind. I feel like Im getting ill because of it and one day will just snap off because I will not be able to handle the pressure and will hurt myself or do something bad. I dont want to settle down for friendship when I love her on a deeper level, because its gonna keep killing me on the inside, but on the other hand Im willing to accept the rejection as long as she stays in my life so I dont lose all contacts with her. Help meanyone

I've been feeling super tired and burnt out lately. I think it tipped over into depression territory yesterday though. I wasn't was motivated to do the things I needed/wanted to do and when I tried to talk to my boyfriend about it, he said it's just my period. For the next two hours, until lunchtime at work, I was so angry with him. But, when we met up for lunch, he immediately apologized and said he didn't realize how serious I was or how upset I was. We talked about why I'm feeling this way and after work I was finally able to do the dishes after they've been piling up for a week (we live in a trailer so it made us look like trailer trash)

I started playing volleyball a year ago or so and just as everything Ive ever done, I had a peak in which I was really good for just starting and I would overwork myself, this has happened in every single sport Ive done, sadly volleyball did kinda mess up my mental health and not only that, months later I got diagnosed with juvenile arthritis for overworking myself these past years, Im getting better but I cant do any exercise and tbh if I could go back I wouldnt because of how bad I felt

I always thought I was lazy. I knew about burnout and procrastination.
I love art and writing so much, yet I never complete or like any works, because they were not perfect, or good as the godly artists. I forget I am a beginner.
Watching this video, helped me realise, that a lot of these stuff is daily in my life. I thought it was normal-It's actually not. Thank you so much- I am trying to cope and get better.

I am burnt out from work, and am not wanting to go anywhere or do anything on my days off. Am ordering in food as we speak because I can't be bothered to drive to the grocery store. I also turned down a friend for a hangout because I had been running on about 5 hours of sleep for 5 nights in a row, and it seems like I have to actually be in bed for ar least 10 hours if I want to get 7 hours of sleep sigh.

Guilty as charged for most of the video.
However, I would argue that procrastination is a symptom of my situation and not a cause. I don't procrastinate during my good days because I'm always eager to get things done right away. During my bad days I have no choice but to procrastinate as I literally cannot focus on what I need to do.

I have rare moments of managing my time on simple tasks and procrastinate by playing video games longer than needed, even to the point I end up in bed at 2 AM. Any time I draw something, I always want to make my work perfect on the first try. I can keep talking about my problems but these will catch your attention

I definitely need to ask for more help. I only have 3 years till I go to college and working seems to be working fine atm cuz parents told me I should have a solid plan and backup before doing head first into the adult world. And poor sleep too, I got too much on my head
Any ideas on what I should do?

reply

Self-sufficiency is vital. Asking for help will only make you look like you can't do anything on your own, that you are useless, worthless, dumb, incompetent, and a myriad of other negative things.
Every person for themselves. Adapt, or perish.

sighs i believe so, but i also don't want to admit it. it's been affecting me for sure. I'm trying to get myself out there again to start my walks again, since i never noticed they were what helped me keep some handle on myself

Is this similar to burning out in a relationship? I had performance pressure and no ambitions besides an abstract goal for happiness and economic safety which literally everyone wants.
reply

I like this video, however, it misses a VERY key aspect, crappy people. You can do all of the above and STILL feel burned out because of the lack of consideration for your needs.

This has really put things in perspective for me at work. I at times put in long days at work and not taking the breaks that should be afforded to me. I will need to advocate for myself.

These are all me except for #4. Honestly, I sleep a lot. I be thinking I have hypersomnia. But I have a question: Can you be a perfectionist and a procrastinator because I feel like both?
reply

I have a really bad procrastination problem, its honestly a miracle Im even passing school. I also dont ask for help out of both pride and shame. It sucks, and Im trying to stop doing it
reply

From compliments to underestimating comments. I experienced the difference in people's treatment when you are at your best and when you are at your worst state.

Very informative video. Unfortunately the last one is something I cant do. Especially at work. The rare occasion that I ask for help, I just get ignored.
