Omg the introvert excuse is BS. Extroverts feel energized around other people, but that doesn't mean that we have more friends. It seems that introverts actually have real, genuine friendships and I've often felt used by them. As an extrovert, I feel lonely all the time even around other people. Loneliness is not being alone. Loneliness is being surrounded by other people who do not give a shit about you and don't want to take the time to know you. Loneliness is feeling like you have no ability to connect with other human beings. introverts don't have any issue connecting to other people, they simply feel tired in big groups. I feel physically tired all the time because I don't have a lot of genuine friends in my life.

I usually eveny extroverts but in this case I feel for them and yea when my grandma died it really messed up my grandpa, don't get me wrong they had some bad times but they loved each other thru and thru after she died he shortly gave up on life as well, he was so emotional and lonely. a pure sweet honest loving soul he was! Marriage don't mean crap now day's have a ring on your finger only adds to doesn't take away, you don't need a ring or a piece of paper to love someone and be happy with them. You can be surrounded by a heard of people and still be lonely. Never beg for attention because your lonely, be with the right ones and you won't feel lonely!

Some back story: I've lost my two best friends some months ago but I'm not completely alone. I still have my two friends and boyfriend. But it's so weird. I still feel so lonely that I cry myself to sleep often or I'm just completely numb. I'm an ambivert and I'm socializing enough for my needs, so what should I do to stop this feeling of loneliness? When I'm around the people I love I still feel lonely and sometimes it makes me feel more lonely than being alone. But also when I'm alone I'm missing people and stuff. I just want this hell cycle to stooop. I can't understand my problem, someone help please.

Loneliness can definitely effect extroverts. As a matter of fact, I am an extrovert married to an introvert. There are many days when I am feeling very lonely because I need to get out of the house but my husband doesn't want to, so I either end up staying home with him, keeping him company but feeling drained and lonely myself, or I end up sitting alone at a coffee shop or the mall with no one who wants to talk to me because people seem to fear strangers these days.

I experience loneliness when countlessly dating great in the beginning (1st 30-90 days, for it to end over a petty argument. The argument usually is over them demanding more intimate commitments (that of exclusive relationship) while I dont feel comfortable unless I feel we both know each other more. In the end my reasoning is never good enough for them so we grow apart, which sets off loneliness in the efforts made to build something.

Being alone and being lonely are two different things. The first could be simply a spacial matter, it's matter-of-fact, like I'm alone in this room. The second is a feeling that works more like a meter, that empties when we are alone, with varying speeds depending on our introverted/extroverted nature (or if there are people around us that drain us. Like the social bar from the Sims. That's how I learned it, at least.

Personally, what makes me lonely is the feeling of being left out from the rest of the world, forgotten by the people that I love and that are supposed to love me. I do live alone and many times Ive silently wished for a family member, a friend, anyone to just check up on me once in a while, but it never happens and its excruciatingly painful. You can only imagine what this does to my self esteem lol

I'm an extrovert and not socially awkward at all, yet I still feel lonely because at this point in my life I have a couple separate individual friends, but not a big friend group where we can all hang out together and not having that anymore is making me feel lonely. I love being in big groups and I love my friends but sometimes one-on-one doesn't cut it for me.

Loneliness is seeing everyone pair off, and knowing that because you are stigmatized for being a short man, you have nobody, and you never will. Miss conception #8. Introversion and extraversion is a thing. It is not. You may express periods of either. But YOU are NOT introverted or extroverted. Stop putting yourself in these boxes. It prevents you from getting what you need and the type of socialization you need.

I was called a loner for most of 4th grade but unlike some, I actually liked being alone. My friends just didnt understand that so they would make fun of me. Only one of them apologised and she is the only one out of the 10 that is still my friend.

I think loneliness all along is not a healthier thought, but if you have need those self service about overload I think is okay bc it to me like that. I cant hold longtime conversation if we have same interests yeah. It dries off me later.
