Do you often feel misunderstood because you enjoy being alone? If so, you're not alone! This video explores the incredible traits of introverts and people who like to be alone. We hope you'll resonate with this video and feel more reassured and accepted after watching it. My whole life I was told that being a loner was a bad thing, kids would think of me as a creepy kid because I don't follow the trends or popular movies, stars and things like that. It's not like I grew up without friends I had lots of classmates who were kind to me as well and still remember me way after high school.
Still growing up with a few toxic family member and people my life was not easy. I got picked on and pushed around because of my autism and been told my whole life I can't do this or can't do that and that I won't survive on my own. But when I do have my alone times I done lots of great things I focus better on my school works, do great works over my hard working years from janitors to recently working in a restaurant as their favorite dishwasher and made lots of good friends at work. Its been nearly ten years after my parents passed away and nearly 5 years after getting rid of some toxic friends of my parents who took advantage of their kind and treated me like scum and I am living a happy lonely life, got my dogs, got relatives and friends looking out for me and I am doing fine financially so being alone is the best thing that could happen to me. Maybe I can finally accomplish my dream of writing a kids children's book one day

Personally, I don't like parties. Even if I attend, I'll specifically go to the buffet & then go to explore the venue alone instead of chatting with people. I'm not interested in talking with people that much, maybe except if we're gonna discuss something important or things that really interest me. I'm quite well known among my family & friends for being the lost kid who often wanders alone, separating myself silently from them. I do that especially when I see something that piques my curiosity & feel more freedom when I'm alone than if I take a company. I even chose a job that made me work from home so I didn't need to meet people too much & not go out often except for necessities like groceries.
Well, maybe I like being alone a bit too much

I feel the fullest freedom being alone.
No one judges you.
You can shout, dance, or go full bonkers.
You don't need to worry about anyone but yourself.
All the money for my self.
No need for anyone's permission what to do with your time.
You will never feel disappointed aside from your self.
You will never get betrayed by anyone.
No need to validate yourself from anyone.
I find it odd why society hates solitary beings.
I always get messages like no man is an island, there is someone for everyone, you will die alone and other shit they have been programmed from their school.

I'm alone because I find people too needy. Being an introvert I listen with intention. I tried to stop listening to someone the other day, and I was so proud of myself. I let her jabber on and I tuned her out. However, the jabbering still is too much for me. I love being alone with my dog. My dog makes me go out and also be social. I feel like I'm a cat in a human body, who has a dog. Humans are so overrated and mediocre, not to mention cruel and selfish. Life is so much sweeter without them.

I like being alone, 80% of the time. I had to get used to it. Being alone allows me to be myself without judgment. Everyone else judges me harshly for being myself (I'm an autistic idiot. I do deserve to be mocked for being so dumb, but getting away from that for a while is calming.
The problem is that I have to be social in this world, which leads to me showing my true self every now and then, looking like an idiot.

Maybe the fact that I m an only child is a reason why I like being alone; when I was younger, I was used to playing on my own, mostly at home but even at school there were times I would just walk around on my own and I would be fine. I d like to have a group of close friends I can hang out with from time to time and be myself around but being judged for being a quiet person can be a problem.

I love being alone, but my best friend has told me that i need to talk to people about me really wanting to commit suicide, but I can't tell people since I don't like people being worried for me, so I just sit in my room in my bed for basically the whole day. I can't trust people with things though since I have some trauma of someone getting one of my secrets and ruining my whole year.

I love the ability to not have sounds blaring in my ears and bright lights in my face. I m an hsp and personally I love my alone time, sometimes I think that it s just overwhelming when I go to school and all the things that make me upset and down happen. All I need after a rough day is some quiet peaceful time to myself.
Also love the vids, keep it up!

2: 50 I get that too, it s hard to tell especially your family that you don t like to go out (partying or something related to that) but more importantly when it comes to relationships. I don t have any desire, it s hard to tell that I prefer to be alone.

I was bullied and isolated when I was a child. Now I am a thriving adult that loves being alone. I find large groups tough because I tend to look for threats vs just being in the moment.
Ill take one on one over a group any day of the week

I feel like I come off very extroverted in person being myself and stuff but in reality being super social drains me and I need time by myself to recharge, so I guess that makes me an introvert but I feel like I am more of an extrovert.

being alone means your on your oen in seeking advise on stuff you'd need opinions on, like govt/ bank/ policies. and its possible in relatively safe areas.
one would be easy targets for bullies/ crooks and such othetwise.

I like to socialize with others but I still have trouble with doing so when in large groups. I definitely cherish my alone time but having someone around to talk with when I need it really helps me too

Can you please do a video on coping mechanisms for struggling with Perfectionism? I have been struggling with that for a really long time and I could really use some insights on how to deal with it
reply

The only reason why i like being because.
1. Nobody can tell me what to do only my head tells me what to do.
2. It's quiet and nice.
3. i can relax after a hard day of doing work.

There is only 1 Person we are Each Stuck with for the entirety of our lives No Matter What. Ourselves.
This is one of the thoughts that helped me learn to Love Myself.

reply

This might sound contradictory, but while I love my solitude there are times when I feel a deep loneliness every now and then.
Currently in therapy for it, though.

reply

People really underestimate my ability to find comfort in solitude. Everyone around me is the opposite, so it's a daily battle to escape extroverts, lol
