I'm so conflicted haha I don't know what I am? I thought I was a social introvert because I LOOOOVE my alone time. But I also really enjoy meeting up with friends at a BBQ and socializing. I don't mind being the center of attention as long as I'm making people laugh. And I enjoying going out to a club but I can only handle socializing like once a week other wise I feel like I'm pushing my limits. My friends think im extremely social because I have alot of different friend groups but in reality I'm quite alone because none of those friend groups I can call close friends. Can someone help explain to me where I fall in the introvert/extrovert group? Haha oh and I normally go weeks sometimes without seeing any friends and spend most of my time by myself at home. Which I really enjoy until I get cabin fever.

Its confusing! I. 76 Ive always been the quiet shy guy, you know that guy that never goes to bars / clubs, that was never invited to parties or you dont have anything in common with any of the other people there! I have lived that life since I was maybe 3! I dont do well in groups of 4 or more, I have a hard time remembering names! I used to be able to come out of my shy shell back in grade school when I was in band but that was in the mid to late1950s! Fast forward to 2022 Im trapped in that shy shell for the last 60 years.

Um Ive been watching for a longggg time and always seen soo many personality types and never seen one that was 100% me like maybe a couple things. Its hard to trying to explain to my girlfriend about not liking parties like I definitely used to in high school a 2-3 years ago but now not my cup of tea. And end up ditching sometimes to instead of hanging. But WOW this was literally 100% me like wow thank you so much! Keep up the content I love your stuff and wow cannot believe it social introvert

Can i be extrovert with no friends?
I dont have friend bc i study a lot. But i really need friends. I like to joke, i like attention, i like talking if in interested in theme and i like to do crazy things. But i rather shy with people who are older then me. And i find many people boring bc i have always liked freaks or bright, interesting people.

I definitely relate to a couple of these, especially the first one. That one is way too accurate. There is no way I'll be starting a conversation with someone I don't know, but sometimes I don't mind having a conversation, as long as they know how to keep it going.
Otherwise it's just awkward.
And I don't know how to properly end conversations.

Yup, Im a social introvert. I like silence, I like to talk to people but Im not usually the person who would start the convo unless its a friend or family member, I like being alone sometimes and being with others the other times. I fine with meeting new people but I often would just be in my room watching YT

when im on my phone im and extrovert. in my group chats and facetime calls but in person is a different story. when I go to a party ill probably get some food and say hello to a few people, but after a while my social battery is empty and id rather go outside to the backyard and listen to spotify.

I dont know what my situation counts as.
I don't get exhausted or energized around other people but unless its really close friends i'd rather be alone. I get angry if people make me socialize when i don't want to. Also im socially awkward and i never talk to someone i don't know first

I only try to fill the silence because I feel like it's weird for everyone else.
Also, I LOVE loud rock concerts, when it's my favorite band. I don't go to any other concerts, I'm just absolutely in love with my favorite band so I HAVE to go for them. Lol

Now i know that im a social introvert because sometimes i want to go to places to experience new but also dont want to go because of the crowd and stuff, and when i decided to go i suddenly quiet down and settle to a secluded place and just enjoys what's happening.

I think Im a social introvert, Im really social and energetic around my friends, who I hang out with multiple times a week if we can, but I still get drained and need some alone time. I also dont like talking to strangers, especially when Im drained

Five for five! I spent a lot of time and energy training my extroverted side startingat age 16 or slightly before. I quickly discovered that I really like people and most things that go along with them, though I still like and need my solitude too.

OMG I could never understand the way my own brain works and now it makes soooo much sens! This is the EXACT way I fonction everyday! Its just a huge relief I dont feel alone anymore

I cannot handle being alone, when Im alone Im more prone to negative thoughts so I usually go on a social hangout game on my computer and just go on my phone and sometimes chat there but im mostly on my phone
