These Are the Largest Tanks Ever Designed Even if they managed to make the Maus and Ratte operational they would still be useless just cuz of how hard it is to transport them. The maus itself cant even be supported by bridges and had to dive the river with a snorkel just to get to the other side. The ratte would just be an easy target for aerial bombing because of how immobile it is.

From a military stance probably worthless, indeed. yet. it still is appealing, somehow. It just oozes brute force and domination.
I'm wondering though. with modern long-range anti-aircraft missiles. would it sill be as vulnerable to aircraft? It could just carry its own batch of S-400 or Patriots.

The ratte was terrible and only a very early design, i belive that the turret alone had a wheight of over 700 tons so whoth the ammo's 300 extra tons then the chasis itself wold have to have a weight of 0 tons witch is impossible

The thing with the K Wagon is that yeah it would get through many trenches and Mark IV-s, but eventually it-s downfall would either be Artillery or the terrain around it.

Oh ffs the T-34 was not fantastic. Maybe on paper, but the early versions were terrible for the crews and almost useless on a battlefield

When the M1 Abrams was introduced it had a 105 main gun but shortly after its introduction they were equiped with 120mm main gun.
