How America's Chernobyl Could Be Happening on This Island Governments are by nature corrupt and lacking in morals, is it any surprise that everyone on earth including the United States and it-s own citizens are one day going to suffer because a few idiots in the government decided to make a half assed plan to clean up a mess they decided to create? Or when the soviets and their government made Aralsk-7 in Uzbekistan and decided they didn-t have to clean it up, even though it-s not literally connected to the mainland and could potentially have some of the deadliest viruses known to man on it?
You can-t trust a group of people who have no morals to make the right decisions, they will only make decisions based on what gains them the most wealth and power and saves them the most money. They sent my great great grandpa to clean up the blast sites at Hiroshima and Nagasaki both, not even a week after the blasts had occurred. Surprisingly he died of a sudden heart failure after having contracted cancer.

The problem I see is that nothing can or will be done. Work and health safety standards are much higher now than they were decades ago IN THE THIRD WORLD. The only way I can see this issue being resolved is by the US hiring third-party, third-world contractors to sign a disclaimer to work cleaning up. Then they will be totally liable for all damages incurred to their health. It's a sad but true story I can see unfolding. this can't be done by robots alone and who the hell is going to want to risk their lives doing this job unless they are desperate.

One was a nuclear reactor gone bad causing environmental pollution, degradation, and mass migration of the people of Pripyat and other neighboring towns.
This is just remnants of contaminated soil in the middle of the god dang Pacific Ocean FAR away from any large population centers.
The comparison is for clicks and is therefore I choose not to watch it knowing about the topic a bit.

In 1978 I was one of the young men and teenagers who served in the Atomic Cleanup that built this dome, I served under the Department of Energy, this was not a military mission but it did include over 4, 000 military support personal. The Atomic Cleanup was an impossible task and remains impossible today, this and all atomic cleanups are futile and dangerous.
reply

Please clean up your presentation, saying -4 thousand people worked on the dome, 6 died, and hundreds got cancer- followed by a visual that is disproportional, implying the vast majority (thus being thousands) getting cancer. This competes with the audio and gives viewers two points of competing data to take away depending on their preference.

The Marshall island contain some of the most diverse wildlife and was stolen from the indigenous ppl whom the islands belonged to. And then the US overran it and did this. Just horrifying how they treated people and animals and have never helped the people of the Marshall Islands since they did this
reply

Bruh the American government is mean bro there were people chilling on this island the they came over and started blowing them up without telling them that they were gonna do it the take all there super radiation stuff and dump it there and leave them to deal with it
reply

There are some things that you want to bob up and down with the tides: boats, seals, sea birds. On the other hand, the one thing preventing all the radioactive materials created by the US's nuclear tests, probably shouldn't.
reply

US: uses islands for nuke testing that have humans around it
USSR: uses an island with only some animal life and in a remote area
So i think we all can confirm the USSR is better in handeling nukes instead of the US

If only the former residents of the Marshall Islands had Skill Streaming. They could have seen all this coming and prevented it with the unlimited knowledge and skills they would have gained from this fine service.
reply

R. I. P the ocean in that area. Nothing will get done about this and it will all go into the ocean and whatever current goes through there will spread it because humans are only creatures of destruction.
reply

The sea levels ARE NOT RISING. The islands are sinking. The is no actually evidence that levels are rising. Water does not rise in one place, and stay the same in another. Water self levels

No wonder we have variations on the Corona virus popping up, The more advanced species in the Universe have decided we are not worth preserving, and ya know something, they may be right.
reply

It should also be mentioned that the economic responsibility of maintaining the radioactive dome fell on the Marshall Islands in exchange for negotiating their independence with the USA.

Damn show any American person who thinks there government and people are the best this vid and tell them those poor servicemen weren-t told the material is raidioactive
reply

We've already spent like $20 Billion on a huge Yucca Mountain facility. I wish we had government officials that had the balls to make the final call and use it.
reply

4: 56 I don't know where the heck your getting your information from but I've never seen any source claims 6 servicemen died as a result of Runit's construction.

Chernobyl-. No one of my classroom knows this-. Me telling and show an video about it. Next day- kids are in a Chernobyl costume they are scary me LOL
reply

I'm not a nuclear scientist, but if a material has an insanely long half life, doesn't that mean that it doesn't actually emit that much radiation?
reply

Dude, human kind sucks ass. Quit destroying shit and sit down. Eat a burger, get some pussy, hug your mom and plant some trees instead.
reply

Why is 3-Mile-Island still named in a chain of dangerous nuclear events? Nothing happened there. Nothing. Just a media hysteria.
reply

I'd dig it up and make it a problem everyone will notice. Sadly that's the kinds of things that need doing to make it happen

Over a million cubic feet or 35 olympic swimming pools
Americans will use literally anything but the metric system

-Sadly the islands never ended up spawning a terrifying lizard who breathes radioactive fire. -

I refuse to eat anything out of the Pacific Ocean. Fukishima just makes it even worse. The Pacific Rim is tainted.

the United States is worse than the Soviet Union at least they were more serious in solving the problem
reply

I understand the radiological contamination issue is important but what about the criticality hazard?
