Corruption is so deeply rooted in the entire Country and society that it affect every single thing there is in a negative destructive way.
And how this affects the Millitary is this. Quality and durability of any equipment well there is none if ot even works in the first place.
The same thing can be said with training and the ability of its commen soldiers to do anything especially with a loss of leadership.
Are they dangerous yes never underestimate them for that will lead to your own demise. But are they as dangerous as they let on nope not by a long shot. And a 1000 modern day Navel ships for example means absolutely nothing if a 100 Navel Ships from WWII era are more lethal.

This is a propaganda piece. Smear campaign at best. Provocation from the US is the only reason China is protecting Taiwan stronger than ever. The more military presence from US in and around the China sea, the strong will that the China wants to build up its own defense surrounding itelf. Which country will not do that for itself? Consider US military build-up around China, 67 military bases, formal and/or informal. Why wouldn't China build-up itself to protect what's rightfully theirs?

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I am in no way espousing China invading Taiwan (I have friends there, but really, would they destroy Taiwan's manufacturing base out of spite? Or would they simply force a change of hands and profit stream? Although it could ultimately be devastating to the world economy and serving to boost China's drive for dominance, calling an immediate doom of the world's electronics is a bit kooky in my view.

At 3: 00 dont forget the ccp practically backstabbed RoC after the japanese were gone. They were essentially allowing the japanese to do what they were going to do. Mao even thanked the japanese and stated if it werent for them the ccp wouldnt have been able to win. Now though, since their state often promotes japanese hate to avoid focus on ccps failures, it is omitted into nonexistence almost.

I love how people ignore the fact that many of Taiwan's top generals and top corporations are in China's pockets. Every year, they claim to find a new 'spy' in the Taiwnese army, while the companies would collapse without such access to China. Taiwan won't 'defeat' china because china already controls the island in other ways

I don't understand why people think China or the US want to fight each other. Both are so linked economically. China wants a rich America to buy their products and US firms want to offshore everything to China because its cheaper abs they want to sell stuff to China to.

I note, that during ww2, macarthur took a look at taiwan, and promptly invaded Okinawa, there is a reason for this, its the switzerland of the pacific, it gets e ven more defensible with the 7th fleet cruising around on the pacific side of the island.

I can't see any way China could possibly blockade an island that big. Chinese ships are extremely vulnerable and they may have a -big- navy, but it is puny when compared to the number of land and air based missiles it would face.
