Today, Turkey is not dependent on any NATO country. Most recently, Canada refused to provide the camera systems it imported for use in Turkish drones. Turkey has done better. Canada's company that made these cameras went bankrupt. Turkey no longer needs fighter jets or weapons. The sanctioning Westerners have increased Turkey's arms and aircraft industry to an unprecedented level. We are always grateful to our ally NATO countries for imposing sanctions. They are imposing sanctions, Turkey is doing more development. -
NATO is a joint defense organization. When a country is attacked by another country, it is resisted together. How can you expect a country in this organization to protect you without giving weapons to a country that is part of this organization?

the number you used for Marmara regions gdp per capita ($72, 000) was accounting for purchase power parity (ppp) whereas the number for the rest of turkey or Europe was not using ppp
marmara's actual gdp per capita is around $20, 000 (2018)
also the map you used to to show turkey's nationwide gdp per capita implies this is the gdp per capita for the area except for Marmara whereas the number includes it. the actual gdp per capita for the red area displayed on the map would be around $8, 000
in terms of total gdp the Marmara region makes up for around 44% of turkeys economy not 75%

Geography negates the demographic difference. One only has to look at the map. Any war between Greece and Turkey will be either in the Aegean, between ships and aircrafts, which the strenght is comparable, or in a small land area, meaning Thrace, where the number of troops one can fit in, is limited.
Greece has nothing to fear from Turkey military in reality. As long as the balance of power keeps being as it is today. Whether it is military or economic balance.

When it comes to all these tiny islands, giving Greece full claim over the vast natural gas reserves beneath the sea is completely absurd! Turkey's interpretation of the EEZ makes much more sense, excluding their view of Cyprus and Rhodes perhaps (which should probable be met somewhere in the middle. These international agreements were made without consent of Turkey and it's no wonder they would never agree. If they both agreed to 6 miles, then this should be upheld!

A most excellent documentary with regards to the Turkish problem since the fall of the Ottoman Empire. make no mistake about it the current Turkish regime would like nothing more than to start a new Ottoman Empire under this fascist Erdogan. The Turks are well hated for a very good reason especially by Balkan countries and the Armenians they have a very long history of atrocities and genocide in the regions mentioned.

Also NATO has become a Zionist puppet, excluding Turkey and Spain. No country within NATO except those dares to go against Uncle Sam or Baron Rothschild. If you don-t have balls to critique why USA-s one veto is more powerful than rest of the 14 government-s -yes- vote for ceasefire in Gaza, Im talking about UN security council, then something is wrong with you, you-re biased towards other nations and countries

Turkey has not accepted that the Ottoman Empire is over. Their dream is to make Turkey big again. How? With genocides, aggression, blackmail, etc. Not forget the occupation of the Northern Part of Cyprus. I can-t understand why Turkey is still member of NATO and why a lot of countries, even in Europe tolerates this aggressive behaviour.

Well, it seems that it takes a video about Turkey/Erdogan vs NATO to get Turkish commenters to wake up from their navel gazing and engage, however incorrect and America hating they are.
Pathetic.
