I've always been attracted to the idea of a democratically elected dictatorship. An elected official who could do anything as long as the people approve of it. The second a large majority of the people don't, the dictator becomes a normal elected official with checks and balances. A way to overcome corrupt established politicians in parliament/Congress. However, this is a fine line with bad outcomes on either side.
In El Salvador, the president looks to be doing exactly that though. The people support him, even though he now has full control over all executive, lehislative and judicial powers. But he's using those powers to improve the nation, build schools and infrastructure and mass arrests to stop the organized crime gang lords in the country once and for all. But only time will tell if he too succumbs to the temptation to use it for his own good at the expense of his people.

1: 27 Why are you showing US institutions in all of this According to the democracy index the US isn't even a full democracy and of the world's prominent democratic counties it's the worst possible example.
Nearly all of the things you mentioned don't apply to the US, other than term limits which aren't necessary is your system is well designed and works properly none of which is true for the US.
There's massive corruption, insider trading in Congress, Supreme Court Justices that don't even recuse themselves when there are cases their very partner is involved in come before the court, that let partisan billionaires pay millions upon millions for their luxury vacations, the judicial system is unfair and regularly fails to hold the rich and powerful to account so in every possible metric it's the worst system in a prominent country calling itself a democracy today.

It's not as simple and straightforward as you put it. That Roman dictator was kinda used by the senate to solve their mishaps and then when he backed down, they were able to mess things up again with corruption and chaos. In the case of Libya, Do you think the country is doing better off now without Gadhafi Do you have eyes and are you informed how bad it is there now as opposed to when Gadhafi took care of traitors, those same traitors that were sponsored y western governments to topple Libya's equilibrium and turn it in this mess that it is in now. In a world of capitalism, the corporation run countries can't stand dictators that are working in the interest of the people because the interest of the people always opposes the interest of the corporate elite who want to make quick bucks out of exploiting the working class.

Walking away at the right time might be the ultimate sign of a truly great leader. But then again if someone is already rotten when gaining access to power in the first place, you can bet it can only get worse.
The 'yes men' situation is also quite 'funny' to consider cause what the limitless power of the dictator in combination with their zero tolerance for critique essentially does is that they become detached from reality which, if it does not allign with the dictator's fantasy, no one dares report or explain to them. That's comical and terrifying to think about (someone with absolute power making huge decisions based on lies or incomplete picture of the situation.

Something people who praise Rome's dictator system seem to ignore is how it clearly failed eventually. Sulla used his influence over the military to proclaim himself dictator for life and purge political oponents, Caesar was made dictator for ten years upon defeating his rival Pompey in Greece and quickly accumulated enough power to be made dictator for life as well. Caesar's nephew and adopted son Octavian, along with Mark Anthony and Lepidus, two of Caesar's liutenants, seazed dictatorial powers during their regime, which culminated in Octavian ousting the two of them and creating the political dynasty that became the Roman Empire.

The video says that no modern dictator walks away from power, but they define dictator as someone who wouldn't walk away from power, invalidating Cinannatus as a dictator in the first place. Plenty of people have had the ability to be dictators and chosen not to. George Washington, the American Cinannatus for example. I definitely think their conclusion is still good, but without addressing the fact that people do occasionally walk away from power (i. e. pointing out those instances are rare & the potential for harm from someone seizing power is too great) they weaken their argument.

I praise, I do not reproach, [nihilism’s] arrival. I believe it is one of the greatest crises, a moment of the deepest self-reflection of humanity. Whether man recovers from it, whether he becomes master of this crisis, is a question of his strength. It is possible. ..
-Friedrich Nietzsche
This is what our next benevolent leader will emerge from. The ashes of prior moral decay. Whether we live quite long enough to experience it is anyone’s guess. Be sure, the price paid will be hefty, almost unimaginable. Who will lead And with how hard a fist

World was always ruled by dictators, some openly commit crime others do in dark. Power relies on three useless people: People with Money, Head of Religion and the King. When religion corrupts then People with money fights against it, when People with money corrupts King fights against it, when King corrupts then Religion fights against him. But when all the three Corrupts God fights against all the three. Bow to God and kiss his feet, fear him more.

The media is only considered free’ when it allows itself to be bought and sold by private entities, which allows them to be warped to be come mouthpieces for those capitalist interests.
A state press ensures the functioning and employment of journalists, who should be free to hold truth to power as they see fit, without needing to bend to the demands of the market or the pressures of international corporations.

5: 11 well thats a lie, I could think some, from Lee Kwan yew, Mahatir Moh, and Deng Xiaoping. All basicly have the chance to be prime minister or party leader for life but they choose not.
Also Gaddafi have all reason to be paranoid, knowing american will not let other country leave the dollar system under its unipolar time. You may correct me if you think Im wrong, this is just my opinion after all.

This sums up current situation in US, although it is more of the rule of the foreign lobbyists and multinational corporations, a type of capitalist fascism. Media controlled by corporations that feeds propaganda lies, an army controlled by corporations that acts like their security agents. Suppression of free speech, abuse of authority and denial of basic human rights to its constituents.

Like Brazil under Moraes and Lula. An overt alliance between Executive (controlled by the Workers Party) and the Judiciary (whose majority is made up of WP appointed justices) took over control of the country, silencing the opposition and imposing its authoritarian agenda on Brazil. The Legislative branch is weak and bows down to the other branches.

Capitalism is incapable of maintaining democracy because freedom is antithetical to institutions built on hierarchies rooted in exploitation, i. e, private property, wage-labor, manufactured scarcity, the state itself, etc. Capitalism will always lead to fascism because it leaves so many disenfranchised from the basic necessities of a decent life.

The New York Times regularly publishes untrue propaganda that is pro-war and sometimes openly genocidal (re: Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, China, etc) and they win the Nobel or Pullitzer prize for journalism.
How can we claim to live in a democracy when the press is free to print lies, lies they are given directly from the mouth of government

there's a reason myths are just myths. these dictator-wannabes are essentially larping for a fantasy that's only that: fantasy. the sooner we learn and KNOW to heart the difference between fantasy and reality, there would be no need to run away into an isekai setting all across the boarder.
for starters: tax the rich.

Democracy is arguably more susceptible to corruption. The roman republic was broken af until pax romana was established under absolute rule of emperors. When one person is in charge and has all the power, they become more difficult to bribe because the only thing they have to gain at that point is their legacy.

It is crazy to me how many young people today especially in the West want a Communist takeover instead of Capitalism. What they don't realize is all the worst genocides, purges, and famines all started in Communist countries. Mao Zedong by far killed the most of his own citizens in the history of humanity.
