The only correct way to farm is veganically. No exploitation of animals allowed.
Then it's just a matter of ensuring the most production output with the fewest inputs. That will ultimately mean fully automated indoor hydroponic farming for fruits, nuts, vegetables, fungi and herbs, with total climate and environment control calculated by advanced computer algorithms, with the electricity coming from nuclear power.
Grains might be better raised in open fields with as much modern technology as possible(GPS-guided mechanized farming equipment etc)
Stop idealizing the hideous past of animal exploitation and go vegan.

I hate to be the Devil's advocate but these people need to adapt to the times. The fact they haven't evolved from Bronze Age farming techniques should not be everyone else's problem. So we should just shut down wildlife reserves because it ruins their farming and herding No. Africa already wastes trillions of dollars in aid because they refuse to adapt to modern times. Sorry your primitive farming techniques are outdated, time to grow up and move on. Truth hurts, time to make Africa sustainable on its own instead of wasting trillions of dollars on them so they can immigrate to Europe and the Americas anyway.

Ya had me until NGO's and new vaccines. until proper oversight is instituted regarding the finances(not red tape, keep entry level access easy, just keep double checking that once funding was provided, the proper services were created within the necessary time frame, lest the remaining funds be revoked and reallocated, production and efficacy of injections (particularly so that the intended mechanisms, risks, and benefits are publicly available for informed decision-making, I'll be abstaining support for this but otherwise find it wonderful and promising.

While I admire this video and respect the cultures and the people, let’s not forget that the animals are not consenting when they are killed and that these practices, however many centuries old, result in suffering and killing. Cultural change and adaptation to eco-friendly, animal-friendly, organic, nomadic crop and fruit and veg farming is the change that is needed to potentially feed more people, address and deal with climate change better and be less violent towards animals.

I belong to one of the nomadic communities of Maharashtra, India. Over the past 30 to 40 years, our community has largely transitioned into core occupations. However, several clans within my community still herd sheep and possess enormous wealth compared to those who have transitioned. Despite their great wealth, they lead simple lives and are held in special respect by society.

I feel like some important information is being withheld here.
I can see a whole bunch of issues especially involving the nature reserves.
If the fight is between a human cultural tradition and diversity, I'm always on the side of diversity.
We should keep the tradition alive, but we don't need it on an industrial scale.

In both America and Canada, because sheep weren't allowed to graze due to the government being so Proclimate, massive wildfires hit both America and Canada. It was the fault of climate alarmist! To add, they also prevented the cutting down of dead trees, which also worsened the wildfires!

In Mongolia enormous areas of pasture land is sold to and destroyed by mining companies, leading to significant numbers of nomads being pushed into the same areas, which the environment cannot sustain. They are also taxed heavily when ever they move into a new area.

Haven’t seen the video yet but I can already take a guess
One issue with farming is over exploiting the land (part of why we rotate crops) so this would give it a chance to recover, plus it’ll grant animals plenty of space compared to what they usually get

0: 46 - Maybe the ones in Antarctica use tunnels under the ice. Nobody has ever seen a polar-bear in Antarctica. I think they've been domesticated and trained as herding-dogs and guardian-dogs for massive flocks of penguins that we don't even know about.

I think that we need to understand how our environment works. Also, understand how pastoralists can help manage the land in a sustainable way. I enjoyed the video it was very informative on how pastoralists can help manage the land sustainability.

I live in Orange Grove Mississippi. There are no Orange groves here any more. There was in1850 but cooling killed them all in 1870s. Seems you try to stick that word in every video but aren't very educated about it. KLOBAL VVARMIN6 is a H0KE$

I find it very interesting that the video mentions how nomadism has contributed to the spread of livestock breeds. This is crucial for the development of livestock breeds adapted to different local conditions

I know their work is hard but the idea of being a nomadic farmer out in nature just calls out to me despite not having any knowledge in it. I'm probably romanticising it as a city folk but my point still stands.

The increase of human population will continue to make life harder for everyone, every animals, and the environment. This is because all humans want to attain one thing: Comfort.

Here's a bunch of things we could do to improve things for pastoralists and all it would take is minor limitations on global capitalist profits.

I hope to live to see the day where lab-grown meat and animal products replace our current systems. There has to be better use of our land and people rather than pastoralism.

In most highly developed countries, you can not even put a tent up for nights' sleep in the wilderness without fear for getting fined. That lifestyle has definitely been made hard.
