_A mermaid princess named Bella sought to keep her father's crown away from their rival kingdom's Prince Lee. In mourning after Lee's family and friends were murdered by Princess Bella's kingdom over a conflict between them, Prince Lee was determined to take the King's crown from Bella's father. Prince Lee's uncle was the only family member alive who wanted to seek revenge against the other kingdom, and started another war with them. During the war, the two kingdoms battled each other to which led to Prince Lee's uncle killing Princess Bella's father. Lee learns that pride is immoral and murders his uncle while turning from his ways. Lee decides to join Princess Bella in marriage while the two kingdoms end their grudge against each other in the end. _
Part ii
_A few years later, Queen Bella and King Lee give birth to a son and daughter named Dylan and Rebecca. One day, Queen Bella feels a telepathic connection with her mother from far away, now knowing she was alive. Bella learns that her mother survived a baby shark attacking her by killing it with her bare hands. The father of the baby shark has heard of the event from a messenger and plans to assassinate his son's killer. Queen Bella and her family travel through a current to Southeast Asia where her mother lives to comfort her. With the father shark knowing about the location of Queen Bella's mother, he gathers and leads a shark army to travel to Southeast Asia. With the sharks coming near, the Asian merman gathered as an army along with Queen Bella and King Lee. The Merman and the Sharks had a fierce battle with each other. During the battle, Queen Bella encounters the mother shark and fights each other until the mother shark swallows her. With the merman having a decreased chance of winning, King Lee draws out his sword and swam towards the father shark to stab him in the heart, only for the shark to stab him with a dagger. The Merman had a bittersweet victory in defeating both the father shark and the mother shark, while also in mourning of the death of King Lee and Queen Bella. _
Part iii
_25 years have passed after Queen Bella and King Lee's death, their children have grown into full adults. Over the years, a lot has happened. The mermaids and merman were going extinct, so the ones that have survived had to give up their gems that made them mer-people live on land while being granted aquatic abilities by Poseidon in case their was danger. One day, on an anonymous beach, there were mischievous people collecting hidden gold and riches until one of them find the gems in the water. One of them accidentally swallows the gem which turns them into actual mermaids including their powers. So they plan to expose to the government the existence of mermaids. So Dylan and Rebecca gather their friends to try and stop them. _

The best advice i can give you is this - Learn. Learn about everything. Worldbuilding spans many different areas of science, and art, you need to know a little bit of everything to create a believable, immersive world/universe. And before you change, bring down, or build upon anything that exists irl, look into and have at least a basic understanding of how it works first.
Other than that, once you settle on the rules and fundamentals of your world, stick to them. If you want freedom to do anything, make the laws be chaotic, or simply use gods to do your bidding. But no one likes 180 degree turns in style, or immersion-breaking just because wavehanding.
That's all dear architect, I hope to either work with you or compete against you, one day

Interesting. Fiction is one of my fav subjects. And just to think that every story is a permanent action even when it's not read or seen. BTW, I got here after Martin G Spataro's Sombras en la Biblioteca, which seems to deal with dreams and fiction. I've just seen the trailer and it looks really promising. Has anyone else seen it?

And the point of disparaging the modern world that someone the speakers age not only participates in herself but also was around to help shape it was what exactly? There was none. Those people could also be the next Tolkein or Rowling. Useless tribalism regardless of where it comes from is just as scary.

Short answer:
Write the world's history, anthropology, politics, ethics, and shallow aspects of biology. BOOM LET THERE BE LIGHT.
