including peanut butter, pasta sauce and even bologna! Robert Lustig decodes confusing labels and sugar's many aliases to help determine just how much of that sweet carbohydrate makes its way into our diets. Lesson by Robert Lustig Rafiz: I drink a lot of tea and I think it's because if I miss sugary snack I tend to make myself tea instead and whoopsie, I added more sugar than normally, or I drink 3 teas in row.

It has many different names which aren't listed on the nutrition label, but are cleverly on the ingredients label. While product labels list total sugar content, manufacturers are not required to say whether that total includes added sugar, which makes it difficult to know how much of the total comes from added sugar and how much is naturally occurring in ingredients such as fruit or milk.

I'm going to stop you right there with a double hand facepalm. You don't need glucose to survive. KETONES are the original fuel source of the body, and a better fuel source for you. Forget warnings on cigarettes and alcohol. We need to demand that sugar is clearly labelled. This cost lives, money and health. What are the authorities doing? Helping big food, big farm and big pharma over common man? Fructose should be banned when NOT in fruits and even then probably ingested with caution.

I have come across a couple of labels of products sold in the u. s. and boy, are they cryptic. In the u. e. labels are much easier to read, for instance you get the nutrients for 100 gr in every product ( and not serving, which can vary, so you can immediately compare two labels.

The video perfectly summarizes why people on diet should reduce the consumption of artificial food. Too much fructose can make your cardio exercises in vain.

I recommend googling what a tablespoon of sugar looks like. You may have second thoughts the next time you think about purchasing a monster drink
