Discover the unique adaptations of marine forests, the ecosystems that provide food and shelter for sharks and diverse coastal species. Forests don t usually come to mind as a habitat for sharks. But marine forests provide a home for 35% of the world s sharks. Mangrove forests in particular function as an essential bridge between land and sea and have evolved various adaptations that protect them and their resident sharks. Luka Seamus Wright explores these unique and vital ecosystems

Good idea putting sharks at the fore front of the thumbnail. I wouldn't have clicked on the video because a video about marine forests would have looked boring in the thumbnail. I came for the shark but stayed for the rest.

It takes millions of years of evolution, another thousands of years of adaptation and some more years to maturation but it takes just some hours to decimate them all. All. All

Mangroves is one of the most unique and spetacular habitats in the world, rich like reefs of corals and amazon rainforests.
I hope we can keep them for the future.

I felt that this video was much more about the mangrove forest instead of the sharks. Which although I enjoyed, I think the title is a bit misleading?

Was anyone else thrown off at 0: 55 when they said tiger sharks eat Sea cows? Pretty sure Manatees have no predators outside of man.

Just imagine your hanging with your older relative one second and having a good time, and then the next second they re trying to eat you.

I really want to invest in protecting these mangroves, but its such a pity that only companies that destroy forests are listed
