Roman cooking traditions are very very different from how we prepare and cook food nowadays and some of their styles are interesting to say the least Lebowski69: That blonde woman is so dense. Some of that re-enactment fighting is appalling. I hope they have done a bit more research and engaged their brains in common sense as to how people might actually fight rather than just flailing their weapons and shields around. I would hope that nowadays the audience would demand a bit more realism.

I've always been fascinated by ancient cuisine but this was painfully dry. I want to try the bread because I actually have spelt flour I've never used, my doctors say it's better for digestion.

Where do you find these recipes? Will have to rewatch and pause many times. Lol. Certainly will have to watch again with pen and paper on hand. Although would need to know oven temperature.

I can't listen to the narration while watching that douche with no shirt on. He must have practiced all his best moves from the crappiest of historical movies. His attire is it anything worse.

Jan Leeming, what a sweet, nice and beautiful lady she is! One thing that is not mentioned is that then wine was always diluted with water, always.

I find it fascinating how most all of our cuisine was influenced primarily on the basis of best preserving, such as salting, pickling, drying, etc.

Please tell me this wasnt made today because, even though I love the passion these people have for history, this was cringey as cringey gets.

I see there going for an aesthetic. It seems like most of Europe real history was all about war and fighting. and disease.

Larks tongues, wrens livers, jaguar earlobes, wolf nipple chips, get 'em while they're hot, they're lovely. Monty Python.
