British ruined everything in Myanmar. When British ruled in Myanmar they treat sperately to Burmar and other ethic groups to think we ar different. Many ethic group are split and forms armed group and even fighting each other. China thought that it is a good chance and selling arms to both size(Army and ethic groups. Everyone want power so ethic armed groups starting to brainwash many ethic groups and the situation got worse. Myanmar has become one of the biggest economic zone of China. Because of the poor management of Military government alot of forest and lands are in the hand of China. It all start from British and Military government. sorry for my bad english.

So sad. Sometimes a country want to grow up. It needs to sacrifice something such as the environment. When we are living in a very good country and we have everything. We might say you guys are living in a good life, don't sell your land, don't change such natural environment. I am from China, I always miss the life when I was a child. It's almost looks like this country. Everyday I felt full of energy and truly felt the meaning of life. However, when we born in rich, we never know how poor the people is, and how much they want to live in a wealthy life. So that is the reason they sacrifice their environment to money. I am so sad about the elephant

I grew up in northern part where the civil war rampaged for more than 50 years. Many wonder how did I learn English because of the isolation and no resources to learn. My father dropped off at high school and later taught many others what he could. I wish the western culture and life style do not invade our culture and peaceful lives. The meaning of life is not material wealth that we see it is the happiness and enjoyment of life is called wealthy life. I don't habe to fancy stuffs and money to revisit the past for documents but I will talk about what we saw and have to show. Otherwise, it will just disappear when we die.

Northeast Indians share the same culture with Myanmar hill tribesman.
We all speak Tibeto-Burman language, even same families have been separated by these manmade borders.
Funfact: theres a village in Nagaland, and the indo-myanmar international border runs straight through middle of the Village
So we do care cause we are the same blood.
This project is not for Mainland Indians but For Northeast Indians and the Myanmar tribesman. We are a different than the mainland Indians. We not like the Bobbs-Vegana Mainlanders.

With the opening of their country to the outside world, Myanmar risks the onslaught of negative toxic foreign cultures, that it needs to protect itself from, to keep their highly regarded and deep rooted tradition, culture & religion of Myanmar people.
People of Myanmar, though still poor compared to the rest of Asia, are devout Buddhist and have a high regard for their culture and tradition. It's best if they keep it that way. Peace and prosperity to all beautiful wonderful long-suffering Myanmar people!

If you want those people preserve the Ecosystem, You should give them the money and means to relocate in a nearby city.
You can tell people who want their lives get better what to do.

I think the narrative is the road will improve their lives although the evidence presented in the video tells a very different story. Clearing forests, killing tigers polluting their rivers and growing opium creating addiction and I am pretty sure he said peaceful, contrary to the violence going on atm and for quite some time. I have watched an old documentary about Mrs. Suuky about 15 years ago.
I read a comment saying she is a evil which and trying to find out why. This has been going on for 50 years.
Of the hundreds of docs, ive watched, the ones about Burma are the hardest to watch

Aung San Suu Kyi signed on the dotted line with China for the Belt and Road initiative in January 2021. In February 2021 she was arrested. Let's see if the military rip the agreement up and go back to making fortunes from their opium and gold cuts.

I wish Assam was also independent like Myanmar. There is so much peace without outsiders. Here in Assam, the outsiders outnumber the indigenous people. It's getting worse as immigrants have also stepped in. Now we are fighting for our survival.

I'm really confused why this video doesn't compare Burma road to the roads that have been in exists in Burmese cities. Video is making it seem like the Burmese are struggling. GDP has grown 4x in two decades.

Burmese/Myanmarese isolation are it's castle Wall's, I advise caution dealing with either China or India who are currently at war. Myanmar could be hapless victim as Tibet and their sovereignty gone.
