This intriguing figure remains one of history's boldest con men. But how exactly did he get away scamming so many people, including swindling a whopping $1 million from Jay Gould, and where did he actually come from? Today, we're diving deep into the insane history of the legendary Lord Gordon Gordon

Lord Gordon Gordon is buried in Headingley, Manitoba, originally outside the Holy Trinity Anglican cemetery because he was a suicide. I believe his remains are within the cemetery now in an unmarked site. I also read somewhere that he was arrested at the home of Abigail Corbett, the abandoned wife of the disgraced Rev. Griffith Owen Corbett who gave the town its name.

5: 12. He arrived in Fort Worth, Canada? Was this a 19th century name for a present Canadian city and if so which one? Because presently, there is no Fort Worth, Canada and I can find no evidence that there ever was one, and Im a student of Canadian history.

If youre going to talk about history you should really learn the correct pronunciation of the places you talk about. You do NOT pronounce the g at the end of Edinburgh. It is pronounced Edinbruh. Also, breeches is pronounced like britches.

During my Life I have met several con men. They were each active at the level at which they best fit in, from small time to big time. They all, however, share this one belief, you cannot con an honest man, only the greedy.

This man was epic, but, Victor Lustig is still greatest and favorite con man in my book. He never sent people off to die searching for pretend islands. He did, however, sell the Eiffel Tower. Twice.

Another freeloading scumbag who want to live off other peoples hard work. But also an indication on how people want a short cut to fame and fortune and get enamored with famous people!

And I thought one Gordo Gecko was a bit of a bounder. But don't read too much into a name After all, like an actor's stage name, it's often all front. As opposed to front and centre!
reply

I sometimes wonder if that was his real name, like he was pressed to give his name and he just said, Uhhhh, Lord. Gordon. Gor. Gordon. Yes, Lord Gordon Gordon, thats my name.

Funny how you can talk bad about some races of people, but not others especially the ones who control everything here in America and who have duel citizenship here and Israel.

Eden-burg? Is that like an iceberg but somewhat Scottish? I got made fun of in Edinburgh when I pronounced it that way, so now you get the same shameful lecture
reply

That's still the rule right money buys you out of crime it keeps you from being held accountable and makes you do the same thing again and again and again

I love the fact that in Bones Stephen Frys shrink character was called Gordon Gordon. Doughnuts to dollars he named his own character.

Honestly, if someone comes to me calling himself Lord Gordon GordonIm gonna automatically doubt whatever the hell hes doing
reply

Did. did you just pronounce Edinburgh as eh-dihn-berg? Eh-dihn-bruh for those who dont know how to pronounce it correctly.
reply

The episodes are good, but the questions at the end are WEAK! Always. A brain dead parakeet could answer them.

funny the wealthy do not like being scammed, but they love scamming others to get to there ivory towers
reply

I love how you put a couple shots of Laurel and Hardy there in the beginning! I absolutely love those two.
