There was a Bar on every corner is what I was told about our Neighborhood. As a Kid growing up you could see where they were and the ones still open. Americas first Boom town The young Lion of the West. The Erie Canal was 2 blocks over and brought a lot of Traffic. Locks a Mile down and Boat yards in both Directions Congested the Traffic. It was a Defacto Port on the Canal. Once the Chaos was perfected here it was shipped out West as the Frontier moved West. Thank you for the Video.

If you had a bad experience on the trail concerning a nasty hombre, chances are you'd eventually run in to him in a saloon or bar somewhere it was a very small world those days, and people just like today had long memories and held grudges for years, of course the sherrif would hang you if you did anything in the bar so I would suggest they simply bushwacked their enemy on the trail, none of this fast draw nonsense which was fabricated by Hollywood,

I like old maps of cities before cars, made for humans and pedestrians not loud vehicles. They look very livable unlike the concrete soulless apartment buildings and malls scattered across our cities today. I don't blame people for being on their phones all the time instead of conversing and enjoying themselves in our modern hellscape of a society.

One would not make fun of people who ordered Sarsaparilla in Salloons of the time because it wasn't sold as a soft drink akin to root beer but as an ailing medicine. And many saloons added alcohol to it about the same amount found in beer. Also, people didn't make fun of those who drank beer, either as many films and TV series depict.

I went to Silver Dollar Saloon (it's along I-90 in the Idaho panhandle area. The bars are covered in glass, but underneath are all real silver dollars cut into the bar with people's names etched underneath them. The bar panels are so numerous they line the walls. It's a gold mine.

Omg, I would have been a bad ass back in the day! MMA trained, wrestling trained, boxing trained, 2nd place in sharp shooting, plus, me being 6 4, I would have kicked the shit out of those little cowboys! I want to go back in time and kick the shit out of the piano player!

If you wanna dance with the girls, dance with the girls. If you wanna drink at the bar, drink at the bar. But if anyone here fancies himself a gunman, you're in the wrong town. There's only one killer in Fort Worth, and that's me.

Guns were also not as prevalent as movies would make it seem. In most wild west towns you had to check your guns into the inn you were staying or some other place when you entered the town. Kind of like a coat check lol

Is there really only 2 original establishments from the wild west? I was thinking of doing a wild west country wide pub crawl but if there's only 2 then that's not much of an adventure

For one thing, unlike the movies and TV show, everybody didn't have a gun strapped on. Most of the places had ordinances requiring weapons to be turned in while in town.

Anyone see Dirty Little Billy? Also McCabe and Mrs. Miller, Warren Beatty opus. Classics for raw, accurate portrayal of this era. Still stick in my mind.

Your fake moral indignation does you no good here. Your videos would probably find a bigger audience if you kept your personal bias out of the scripts.
