I don't want to bust anybody's nostalgia bubble but I was a junior in high school in 1996 and I always felt like the 90's was when things started to get weird in the world especially from about 1995 -on, to me the 80's was the last great decade. Stuff like the OJ trial, the shifting away from Union Jobs to temp service jobs, Rock music dying out in favor of country, alternative and rap, cars getting rounded off to look like spaceships, the weird shows like XUXA, Family Matters and Step by step, the silly bowl hair cuts, fanny packs, Guess Jeans and Tommy Hilfiger, the silly music like Alanis morisette and Hootie and the blowfish, the little tribal armband tattoo's and other stuff just didn't do much for me. I felt like a lot of stuff in the 90's had a very generic feel to it.

Pac & Suge were not on their way home from a Mike Tyson fight when he was gunned down. They were on their way to Club 662 for Pac to perform at.
Also, it's pretty much a closed case that Orlando Anderson did it, according to his uncle, in exchange for total immunity, who was allegedly in the car with him when he did it.
Also the gun ended up, again allegedly, being found in the backyard of his gf or ex-gf's fathers home.
I've seen almost every documentary about the case that I know of and while I forget the title, it was a docu-series released on BET sometime in the last 4-6 years iirc.
100% worth watching if you're a Pac fan or just a true crime fan in particular.

At the time this video was made 2pacs killer had in fact been identified many times by another person that was in the assailants vehicle at the time of the shooting (and the only one that is currently alive that was in that vehicle. The killers name is Orlando Baby Lane Anderson who 2pac and his entourage assaulted months before in a publicly available cctv video. Anderson killed 2pac as payback for this assault. Anderson was later killed in May of 1998 in an unrelated situation.

1996 was only one year away from Ford's best truck creation. 97 f250 super duty 7. 3L turbo diesel with manual transmission. it's a beast and first through third to me are way to close together (boyfriend says it's for low end torque and towing purposes) but by 4th and 5th gear it gets up and goes. unbelievably it's still going strong unlike my POS lemon of a Ford Fiesta and Focus

I worked my first job in 1996 at Kmart when I was just a sophomore in high school. The Tickle-Me-Elmo insanity was no joke, I saw some truly messed up, violent stuff and realized at that point that Xmas often brings out the worst in people. 1995 was the last year I enjoyed the holiday season.

1996 was my favorite year in the 90s. Think it was the apex of hip-hop and the movies an sports that year were at a peak. The Chicago bulls and the detroit redwings had some of the best teams in the sports history that year.

1996 is the same year I was born and its the same year as my old truck (a 1996 Ford F150 with a 5. 0L (302) Windsor V8 with 210, 000 miles and still going strong.
