Heterogeneous vs Homogeneous
- What do we mean when we say heterogeneous and what do we
mean when we say homogeneous? Homogeneous means the items
in a collection are all of the same type and heterogeneous means the
items in a collection can be of different types. From earlier we mentioned
that lists are usually homogeneous while tuples are usually heterogeneous.
- Given here is an example of a homogeneous collection where all the
items are of the same type, that is all items are strings. So in this
code we have a list of school items and if we want to lets say store
the number of pieces available for each item here, we can then use a
tuple as follows. So now we have a list of tuple pairs and each tuple
stores a string type and an integer type.
Dictionary
- We now move on to a more general type of collection which is called
a dictionary. a dictionary is like a list but as mentioned it is more
general in a list the indices are always integers in a dictionary they
can be almost any type instead of a sequence of numbers to index
the elements like in lists and tuples dictionaries are indexed by
so-called keys.

- keys can be of string type or float type or tuple but they cannot be of
type list so why not because a key must be immutable so a dictionary
is essentially a collection of key value pairs the key and value are

To paraphrase George Bernard Shaw ( 1856 - 1950, Britain and America are two countries SEPARATED by a common language and this is just as true when it comes to the naming of games, isn't it?
For example what you Americans call 'Chutes and Ladders' we Brits call 'Snakes and Ladders' which I imagine is a historical throwback to the Raj in India and which we imported into the U. K, what you call 'Checkers' we call that game 'Draughts' and what you call 'Tick, Tack, Toe' we call 'Noughts and Crosses'. Also the card game that you call 'Solitaire' we tend to call 'Patience' over here.
My question to you Americans is what do you call 'Scrabble', 'Hopscotch' and 'Conkers' over there? There's obviously no need for me to ask you what you call 'Football' over there, is there? You call it 'Soccer' for some daft reason especially when that word is a corruption of the word 'Association' which you 'borrowed' from we Brits somewhere along the line. I find it hilarious that the game that you call 'American Football' is hardly that because it's very rare that your players even kick the ball with their feet while they're playing that game, isn't it?

It is more than a little amazing that the Milton Bradley corporation was producing parts for fighter jets At the time world war II begin as the narrator stated seeing as how that would be before jet airplane technology was perfected enough to have practical applications or be put in common use SMH he should have marketed precognitive abilities

Ive got an original uncle wiggly game! Its such a cool game with creepy artwork. The premise is your humanlike rabbit (uncle wiggly) has to make it through a series of pitfalls and obstacles. You would use cards to determine how far you move ahead or back and each card would have a rhyme. Loved it was mentioned in this documentary.

Twister went out back then because everyone was playing strip twister or naked twister so they used the media, as always, to being it back to the forefront of our minds so it became highly demanded again. So good! Not as nimble as I once was, however, it left me with great memories and one child. lol

In high school, they played out a living version of the game of life in the gymnasium. Me and my stoner friends sat out along the wall and when teachers came over to us to incline us to participate, I told them We got the suicide square.

You guys made an error. The Great Depression didn't officially end until the start of WWII in 1941, which put everyone to work either serving in the military, or working for the military in a civilian capacity building planes, bombs, guns, clothing, vehicles, etc.

I have my Mom's Easy Money from the 1930s. It looks nothing like the example in this video. (That one seems like the 1950s or 60s) The older version is in a dark reddish-brown box, not very colourful board, real wooden houses, and smaller money.

I have never played anything called Chutes and Ladders! In Canada, we always played SNAKES and Ladders, and it had nothing to do with Indian philosophy. Was this some American thing? BTW, I thought Chutes and Ladders was British.

Weird. We only ever had snakes and ladders, in my childhood. I actually thought chutes and ladders was some modern pc version of it. South African, mostly influenced by British culture. My guess is Britain had the Indian connection.

There is no reality in which someone will be moved to suicide by seeing the image (that was blurred out. but will happen is people impacted by suicide will feel further shame and embarassment.

They did make a Candyland movie, it was called Wreck it Ralph. They spent more time in Candyland in that movie than anywhere else- which ruined it for me, but still.

I loved Candy Land as a kid because like you said it was bright and colorful. We moved a lot then so would invariably lose it but got a new one every few years.
