Joe Pesci is an odd guy. Not a freakish kind of odd. Its just that he goes completely against the grain of the publics perception of him. One day, hes a guitarist whose dream is to become an east coast lounge singer -- a couple of years later, hes playing opposite Robert De Niro, and Scorsese fans are instantly all in on this five-foot-three ball of energy. Today, were going to explore why Joe Pesci has led one of the most interesting lives of any actor

I thought perhaps that he gave up acting after he totally snubbed the Oscar Awards people on LiVE TV (totally by accident. He was getting off of the elevator in his hotel, 3 in the morning, a camera guy and a another guy with the Award were there and told him that he won the Oscar, but he blew them off, cussing at them for ambushing him at 3 in the morning. Oscar was all wrapped up in bubble wrap. He slammed the door shut in their faces and then opened it again saying, Is this for real? And they said, YES! So, he grabbed the Oscar, said, Um, Thank you. And shut the door again! I was in shock that they surprised him and caught him off guard like that. I thought that he might have been blackballed after that little performance.

To me, Joe Pesci was a top shelf actor like Marlon Brando. Joe had the guspa and bravado of the most seasoned actors of our time. Humble and fierce, quiet and deadly, all rolled into one incredible man and actor. Truly a diamond in the rough of New Jersey.
I could watch any movie with Joe in it,
all day, every day. A classic man in his own right. Joe's father knew what his son could do in life in the acting entertainment field. Father's and mother's know best for their children.
Joe certainly proved his dad was really correct on what path for Joe to choose.

Pesci's story reminds me of those guys who are naturally so talented in something they don't really like and instead are in love with that thing that they aren't very good at that from the outside looking in you just scratch your head and wonder. come on. why are you so obsessed with that singing stuff? Stick to that awesome acting you do!

He grew up in my home town Belleville NJ his father worked with my father in General Motors, my brother in law lived across the street from him and was his model when he went for his barbers license. his dad worked several doors down from their house on Brighton Ave part time as a bartender Binkys tavern.

He hit my car and scratched the shit out of dented my bumper a little bit. Dude pulled $1500 out of his wallet for the damage and then gave me an extra $500 for the trouble. No need to get insurance involved. Class act of a guy.

Me being from Belleville, NJ thinking ohh they're probably gonna talk about how Pesci's from Belleville. Weird History: Pesci was raised in some of the seedier towns of New York and New Jersey.

that didnt strike me as a very weird life, eventful tho for sure but if anything kinda boring compared to plenty of other actors
The murder trials tho was pretty interesting.

Several years ago when I used to live in Chicago, he knocked on my door and told me he would take care of my house while I was gone on vacation. Super great guy!

It seems to me that in acting thiers the young you and then thiers the older you and the in between is where an actor struggles a little with it
reply

Well Joe we're sure happy your dad saw an actor in you an entertainer in you you have put smiles on a lot of faces and that's priceless
reply

When all hear God say
I'm gonna make life beautiful and truly yours, but here's the catch I'm only gonna give you one life

reply

Oh yeah? You think that's weird? Well, in the late 70's I once ate a 4 year old boy in Cambodia! Pesci has nothing on me!

Joe was real good friends with George Carlin them two together would have been a proper piss taking combination
