You want to join the mob?
Imagine your mob boss expecting you to make $5, 000 a month or you could get wacked or beat up. Some mob captains were told by their bosses to make 20-30 grand a month depending on how many people a captain had in his crew.
Youre always scamming, always trying to make your boss happy. If you made a lot of money, you were heavily protected l, but if youre just a low level, youll never be respected or move up in the ranks.
Not to mention, you never know when youre gonna get wacked just because the boss THINKS you might be a rat.

Listenwhen I was a child I remember my mob dated this Italian man who on life gave us everything. Later she broke up w him and never said why and I wanted to task him but I respected my mom and her belt. But they remained friends. Well I asked him when I got older and he pulled out all these papers etclong story short he was in the mob. At first I thought he was lying but then I thought hes old af now why would he lie I asked my mom again and finally she confirmed it but I made sure to not say I talked to him. Yeahhhh. anyway he was cool

You don't have to be full Italian since the late 80s. It started only Sicilian orgins. Then Italian. Then your father only needs to be Italian. Now you don't need to kill to be made anymore. It's gone down hill in so many ways. Power, money, rackets, goverment payoffs and extortion is very small now. Sicilian &Italian recruiting pool has shrunk massively. Omerta has been crushed by the Rico and witness protection. Funny it was a better world with the mob running America. Now it's a stronger mob called the government.

The Mob Life is overrated. Sure, in the beginning, you enjoy the money, the girls, and the power. But that gets tiresome after a while. And there's always the risk that you get bumped off early in life; if not by some rival gang, then by your own Family. In the end, sometimes all your hard work and loyalty don't mean ugatz. And don't get me started on the lousy pension plan in the Mob.

The reason back in the early mob days, there was no RICO laws meaning you would have to have direct evidence against The Godfather, or else no case
Now, all they have to do is show that you are part of the group and everyone gets the same charges.
It was specifically made by Guliani in the 80s. Im positive if RICO laws were around in the 1930s, a lot of guys would be rats

I always think to the Sopranos episode House Arrest towards the end when Tony walks into the back room of the pork store. Silvio and Paulie are talking about moisturizer brands over making tomato sauce, Chris and Furio are playing cards, and Big Pussy is smoking a cigar reading the newspaper. Tony asks so whats been happening? and Pussy just replies nothin

I'm a made man. The Mafia is not what it used to be. The glorious past is in the past. Today it's involved in more legit business with a touch of strong arming, bribes and pay offs. We don't kill people anymore. Our reputation is enough to get what we want. This video is fairly accurate.

You do not have to be a full blooded Italian. You must be of Sicilian descent. Not just itialian. Furthermore, its not full blooded. As long as your fathers side hails from Sicily you are ok. Doesnt matter where your maternal side is from.

I've lived around wise guys for the majority of my life and with few exceptions, they don't dress impeccably all the time. The majority wear regular clothes. Those who make a point of generating clothing attention don't last long.

You have to be a full blooded Italian what about these guys? Lepke Buchalter, Kid Twist Reles (leaders of Murder Inc) and such notable figures as Meyer Lansky, Arnold Rothstein, Dutch Schultz and of course Bugsy Siegel.

Since Albert Anastasia, who was selling memberships for $50, 000, changed the rules regarding becoming a made man. Only your Father had to be 100% Sicilian/Italian for you to get your button.

Considering that most are either dead by 45 or spending the rest of their lives in jail should give a good indication. The only ones that are alive and talking are the rats

I forget where I read this, but it has been said that the Godfather films were about how mobsters saw themselves, while Goodfellas was about what they were really like.

Really annoying when the photo/drawings collages lump in the AL Pacino Scarface with them. That was not the Sicilian Mob. It was a story of the Cuban crime wave.
