I was 12 years old and living in Colorado Springs when the disco era hit. The 70's were some of the happiest years of my life! I knew of Studio 54 and I clicked on this video, because I wanted to see images of what it really looked like---Imagine my disappointment when there weren't any. Take this video down and re-do it. Show pictures of the actual club and perhaps interview people who were fortunate enough to get in and maybe interview some of the people who performed there, like Cher. A lot of disco icons have passed away but why not interview the ones who are still around, like Barry Gibb from the Bee Gees. People like me were too young to experience this dynamic club---how about giving us a PROPER and in -depth documentary Question, was the movie Thank God it's Friday loosely based on Studio 54 I know Donna Summer's 'Last Dance' was made popular by the soundtrack to the movie.

what a bad video. there's so much footage both inside and outside the club that wasn't used, instead using generic stock photos of celebrities, often not even from the time period covered. the narrator put on these random voices when quoting other people that i swear hasn't happened in other videos that made it sound like they were mocking everything. why even make this video if it's going to be this bad

Cocaine was a positive thing, or so we thought. That Muppet quotes like the crap hasn't been around for hundreds of years prior and functioning societies have melted due to it's addictive properties. Liz Taylor, and Rubber room in the same video. Something i thought I'd never hear. Nasssty.

The Studio 54 movie was almost a glimpse into this world, but the studio made them change the plot into a straight love story. However there is a restored Director Cut that brings back the bi hustler Ryan Phillipe storyline and the characters that were based on real people.

Wow, no mention of our current Pretendsident famously being the most boring frequent customer of the venue. Spending his daddy's money just to be seen with celebrities and make himself believe that he was a celebrity, too. Guess it all paid off.

There are SO many pictures from that time, yet this video consists almost exclusively of bland stock footage. Why even do a video on the topic in the first place, then
I recommend the videos by Facts Verse or James Maharaj instead.

I honestly had no idea it was that short-lived. Wild and crazy times! Probably a good thing. I'd hate to be the cleaner of The Rubber Room You'd probably catch something just opening the door.

The visuals are horrendous for a video on 54 history. There are hundreds of stills and clips from the lines outside to the party inside. Hardly any used in this video. disappointing

1: 20 When I worked at The Waterford as a nurse's aid, the main restaurant we went out to eat was Las Margaritas!
It was about a mile away in Lincoln, Nebraska!

I was so surprised when it closed, with the idiots skimming most of the money. I wasn't going to travel there with it being a few hundred miles away.

I remember seeing a flyer for Studio 54 from 1985, advertising both Slayer and Anthrax shows. Blew my mind.
That’s all I got.

COCAINE! There I said it! It’s just a word, and it’s also a fact that they were snorting cocaine from those spoons, not sugar!
