Corrections: 1)Lee did not steal from Keyse. He stole from another household in which he was employed, and was imprisoned. 2)There was never a suggestion that he lashed out at Miss Keyse and had his wages reduced as a punishment. His wages were reduced due to Keyse falling on financial difficulties. It was then alleged that he argued with her due to the reduction. 3) The only spectators were the prison guards, the chaplain, and the executioner. And there is no record of any of them saying they thought it was divine intervention. 4)The evidence given by his sister regarding his threats are not substantiated. Information that has since come to light suggests that she had a motive in accusing him of such threats. It may not be true. 5) Lee had received offers of payment for him to give lectures about his experiences on the gallows, but he had to turn them down because it was one of the conditions of his parole that he was not to tour giving public speeches or lectures about the murder or the execution, although its true to say that he became something of an Edwardian celebrity.

He was a real dumb-ass! WHY get mad because his employer wanted to sell her property? She more than likely would've given him a cut from the sale, since she held him in some regard and didn't fire his sorry butt when he stole from her. Regardless of his hanging outcome, which they should've set him on fire, he showed his TRUE nature and character when he abandoned his first family; as well as making money from his employer's tragic death.

No mystery the trap wasn't checked the day before usually with a sandbag if the hangman had of if he would of realised the trapdoor had expanded and when it had the weight of a man on it the doors wouldn't of opened. The hangman was James Berry whose record as the country's executioner was patchy.

OK. So get him off the trap door. Open it.
Get him back stand on the edge. And shove him off. They could've saved the poor lady and the wife and kids left behind JUST BY DOING THAAT

All I imagine when I hear a man who was hanged and didn't die is the parodical movie of the Ridiculous 6, when Taylor Lautner played an idiotical character who did a 360 on a noose.

This makes me remember that one movie where some guy with a strong neck gets hanged but still happily swings about. I thinks it is a wild west theme.

Real simple solution. Open the trap door, put the noose around his neck, and push him down the opening. A successful execution.
