I'm sure that if the majority of the world's population was put in cryosleep, the people left to mind them would enact some level of sociology, which means that a lot of people are going to be killed off while being ice cubes for their politics. It's a perfect crime, because whoever does it will be dead before the courts are thawed out to try them. Long story short, the people who go under are going to get murdered by the people on the other side of social issues from them, regardless of which side they're on. Liberals will end conservatives because they're a cancer and need to be excised from the population en masse, and conservatives will merc liberals for being deviants. And the whole group of people left awake to mind the world and keep the race going will end up killing themselves off, either in a violent bout of revenge for killing the sleepers, or because they killed off too many and can't maintain a genetically viable population, resulting in the end of human life on Earth. The Shakespearean tragedy writes itself.

TBH- actually the earth will repair itself if all humans slept for 1000yrs it will become greener n less polluted n everything in the environment will set right with no humans exploiting the earth on a daily basis nature will heal itself along with the wildlife it always does even after all life goes extent also it comes back with life again- unless a catastrophic event occurs naturally like an asteroid impact Etc without human intervention the earth will surely repair itself- even the dinosaurs did not damage this planet with their existence like we so called intelligent species have done- we destroyed the planet to such an extent that now we r fearing of endangering ourselves only n looking out for others planets to settle n spoil that one too!

From Frozen released in 2002 from Universal Pictures 90th Anniversary, Paramount Pictures 90th Anniversary, Warner Bros Pictures, DreamWorks Pictures, Illumination Entertainment and directed by Steven Spielberg. Jack Frost, The Ice Age animals, Andy and his toys, The Monsters from Monsters Inc and all one of the population, places and animal have been frozen for a 1000 years. then after a thousand years. The Great Thaw might be the sun. The sun could thaw the snow and ice in seconds and people defrost in seconds as well

we have to learn to live with/adjust to the climate change we bring about, there is no sleep away camp or mars colony to avoid going through said traffic. whether that looks like one of those 80s bad future movies where resources are for the rich, the poor suffer below and the earth looks dangerous all the time, or something more like today just hotter and more turbulent but people keep on peopling because they can't fathom What Else.

Everybody goes to sleep, rotating teams are awaken to keep an eye on their fellow sleepers and to perform essential maintenance on the buildings and structures that we decide to keep (we are not going to let things that need preserving waste away. from monuments to essential infrastructure) then we can either rotate population or gradually reintroduce it as we rebuild more sanely

If it was possible, I think this is one of the best ideas we had, I mean before you just make sure that all the knowledge of the humanity is well protected and will still be there after the 1000years, but the idea is just so good, a fresh new earth, A earth wich has no pollution! And this time we must not repeat the same error

A similar depiction can be seen through an anime titled -Dr. Stone- where all people on the planet had been hit by a strange ray of green light and in an instant all people became stone statues for 3000 years. Some were quite near depiction, just watch it and it's quite scientifik-y.

i think he lucky ones would be the Frozen ones, 500 people isn't enough to even look after themselves, you'd still need food and farming and waste management, power and water and what ever else we use to live our modern lives while they look after the frozen ones

Everything this guy talks about, and I mean EVERYTHING, is the truth. I don't like hearing it, I'm sure you don't, either. I'd also like to say that he sounds a lot like the -salesman- who greets people at their front doors in Fallout 4.

I think that 1000 year will feel like few seconds when we all sleep - we wake up you may sleep for hours but it feels like few seconds isn't it. So if our brain become unconscious then we can't feel that 1000 years.

Wait a minute! Imagine if we do perfect cryo technology and make this possible. What would be the effects of repeating the 1000-year cryo-sleep over and over again everytime pollution gets to a certain level?

10 seconds in and it's not about the futuristic cryogenics. It's about liberal garbage propaganda. NO THANKS. If I wanted to hear that nonsense I'd watch the news.

Reminds me of a series called Life After People that I watched in the late '00s. It described what would happen in the world if all humans suddenly disappeared.
