This video is mostly inaccurate.
Even if the Teagarden planet has everything necessary for us to live on it, it would still take us centuries and even millenniums to actually stand on its ground and breathe without astronaut spacesuit and oxygen masks.
If it even has bacteria and virus as only life it would be dangerous for us to just run naked on its surface.
We have different chemical structure and we are not accustomed to chemical compositions on that planet.
We could get so many diseases and illnesses that would be incurable.
New microorganisms and chemical compounds could destroy all of the colonists in very short period.
It would take robots and us walking in spacesuits on the planet's surface and sophisticated decontamination systems inside the spaceship to not contaminate the rest of the crew when they return back to the ship.
In short, it would take centuries and even millenniums for our bodies to accustom to majority of microorganisms and chemical compounds that could literally destroy us on molecular levels through incurable diseases and permanent deleterious effects they'd do to our bodies and even minds.
Maybe we could never accustom to it.
The colonists could not eat nor drink anything on that Earth 2. 0 and not a single particle from it's atmosphere and especially the lithosphere couldn't get into contact even with their skin.
Until they get accustomed to them like we do through pandemics and diseases.
They'd need to accustom their bodies to it and it'd take millenniums for it.
If we do as author of this video says, the colonists would perish shortly after stepping on the surface of the most suitable and livable super Earth in the Universe. It's not free estate for a long shot as you'd like to consider.
No matter how many people we send, they must procreate in very large numbers to avoid the incest.
All of this applies to every other planet (livable or not) especially the livable ones if we ever achieve interstellar, galactic and intergalactic travel.
So the livable planets are more dangerous that the dead ones.
Thank you for reading,

I have heard about this planet and the last one was a major shift. But I have also heard. Somewhere between the night and day there is some space in which it is possible for life to exist. Also, going to the moon is also a good idea. I loved that. I just feel that right now our ambitions are too high while the progress is slow. Hopefully the next generation or ones after that will reap it's benifits

Lol imagine people Colonizing different planets and evolving in that environment, and are gonna be diffrent from other humans. Example some can be bulkier and taller and stronger because of the planet's size. And other who develop superhuman abilities like in the movies. Idk it sounds possible. Because that's what we did in the last 1 million years.

how to treat Earth?
we'll make the garbage and pollution turned into electricity.
-Less garbage and pollution
Then when we all turned 18 years old(it should be a law) For 2 months with pay hehehe
we'll plant trees and clean our surroundings.
Easy to say than to do, Am I right? Now click the buttons!

It must also not be inhabited by other intelligent life forms, i mean it would end up us being the colonists who came to America and killing the indigenous inhabitants.
In other words i do not think we actually have the right to colonize another planet which might have indigenous inhabitants

I am born on earth and I will die on earth. What people don-t realize that 12 light years will still take thousands and thousands of years to reach. The people who got on the ship would be dead by the time they reach the planet unless they are frozen in suspense consciousness.

If tidally locked means that it takes the same amount of time to spin on its axis as it takes to go around it's sun, doesn't that mean that the side facing the sun change i. e a day there is almost five days and so is the night? And it's not a never ending night and day?

Honestly, I think that by the time we have the technology to leave our solar system, we'll have the technology to create an earth-sized spaceship that we can use to travel wherever we want. So we won't need an exoplanet, or to terraform a planet.

I wonder if we make big sun shades ahead of planet to block the starlight and kind of make artificial illusion sun that emits visible light by converting infrared light and make illusion day night cycle? that might solve the problem.

Why Teagarden b speciicly why not one of the Kepler planets and useing solar sails it would take 60 years to get there alpha senatori b 25 years why not go there who knows if it-s tidaly locked.
