Looks like this is a severely flawed premise, and not physically possible due to the size of the Earth. Doesn-t seem possible to even exceed a 12. 0, let alone reach a 20. 0 (so the max would be in the 11 range. You should consider re-titling this video so that it-s maybe a 10. 0 max. While still not realistic or likely to occur, at least achieving a 10. 0 is a scientific possibility, unlike your premise of a 20. 0, which is scientifically impossible. So the short answer to the question you pose is: nothing. Nothing would happen because a 20. 0 magnitude earthquake is not possible.
From the USGS website:
-The magnitude scale is open-ended, meaning that scientists have not put a limit on how large an earthquake could be, but there is a limit just from the size of the earth. A magnitude 12 earthquake would require a fault larger than the earth itself. -

Magnitude 20 isn-t going to happen. It would be better if the title says What if magnitude 10 hits a major city? That would be a better realistic answer.
As for magnitude 20 to happen, Earth has to rip apart thirty thousand times more energy to release to create that magnitude that high. The only recorded highest magnitude earthquake is Chile with a magnitude 9. 6. That-s as far as the magnitude scale goes on this planet beside the KT Boundary that killed the dinosaurs in a slow suffering death after the comet smashed onto Earth with a estimated magnitude of 13. 8. Estimation is not proven because it is not recorded and measured so they estimate the magnitude of the comet-s impact.

That's just to clean up your bodies easier with ( The Metal Box ) It's Probably Not Titanium or Anything that would Withstand a Massive Earthquake along with a House Falling on It! Especially if it's a Concrete house! Not to mention it's probably not padded enough inside so you would get smashed around until you would be lifeless I would rather be able to move and get out the way. what if it opened up and you fell into lava?

From the USGS: -No, earthquakes of magnitude 10 or larger cannot happen. The magnitude of an earthquake is related to the length of the fault on which it occurs. That is, the longer the fault, the larger the earthquake. A fault is a break in the rocks that make up the Earth's crust, along which rocks on either side have moved past each other. No fault long enough to generate a magnitude 10 earthquake is known to exist, and if it did, it would extend around most of the planet. -
Please stop giving an ignorant public misinformation.

A common argument when it comes to large asteroids is that you could send a rocket/explosive of some kind to splinter it into smaller survivable chunks. I know nothing about asteroids, but what would be the potential outcomes of an asteroid that could cause a magnitude 20 earthquake dividing and hitting the Earth's crust at multiple points? Could the planet ride out the impact, and humanity as a result, or would the strength of the asteroids still cause irreparable damage?

Well that bed could protect to am extent but what if your sitting on the wrong position? Your gonna get stuck. Not to mention your gonna be buried alive and it would be harder to call foelr help while being buried alive. Not to mention if the bed catches on fire. Well. But at least it could protect you from falling debree

2/3rds of this video has nothing to do with the actual topic of the video and basically drags out the run time for no other reason than to be annoying and rambling. Everything at the front half of this video is unnecessary information that we all learned in 4th and 5th grade science.
I just skipped to the end. -

Evacuate? There wouldn't be enough spacecraft to get off and even if we had enough where would we really go? Mars? We don't have enough time to study enough technology to make it our permanent home and there isn't anything close enough to support life. The nearest planet is too far for anything we have

-This just in, the big one is hitting California and that state slipped into the Pacific ocean as I speak. Onto other news, Rhonda Rousey just gotten her certificate in anger management. who writes this script anyways? -

My favourite part: -
-With all that considered,
A Magnitude 20 Earthquake seems pretty impossible. So there is nothing to worry about. Oh right, except for that. -

So -IF- a Earthquake Magnitude 20 would hit anywhere. DEATH. So please explain where and why you propose different happenings going on on anywhere. on to the survive mode?

It's estimated the Theia impact that created the moon caused a magnitude 14. 5 earthquake, and produced lava tsunamis as it melted the planets entire crust.

The earthquake bed is an absolutely idiotic concept, so no would not want one of those. Thunderf00t made a great video about it.

Get ready for asteroid to hit sooner or later in this very decade, it will most likely hit UK or US and babylon will be done for

An asteroid earthquake would only last five minutes? the Japan earthquake of 2011 lasted 6 minutes and it was a 9. 1
