What If You Always Swallow Your Chewing Gum?

You chew it. You stretch it. You blow it. And, be honest, sometimes you stick it on things. But what happens to your body when you swallow chewing gum? And, not just once but all the time? If you always swallow your gum, could it plug up your body? Is it true that it could kill you? What does chewing gum do to your digestive system? Could it cause sepsis? Are your intestines in danger? How is the sapodilla tree related to chewing gum?

Love yalls videos. But a part of biology and science as a whole is having theries picked apart. There is one example where this -may- of happened. And there are defiantly studies saying it could. Problem is like the name of the video it's what if not this is reality. We know there are many people addicted to swallowing gum but the reason all these people aren't being wheeled into er right now is because the amount you would need to cause a blockage in a short tike is huge. It wouldn't be one big gumbo or a few pieces every day as the video suggest. But here's what you. need to know when something -can't be digested- it doesn't mean all of it, it means some. That's why when you eat corn on the cob the whole cob doesn't end up in your toilet as all intact. Trust me you would know if it was it would be extremely painful. So to put this in perspective to cause a blockage with corn alone you would probably need about 20 to 30 whole cobs in one sitting, not a day a sitting. So let's look at the ideal. To actually have a chance of causing a blockage with -one- big piece as they described it would have to be so big it would essentially break your jaw. Especially since gum can be manipulated as a shape your throat would also help squish it further down. But not enough meaning you'd choke to death before you could test it. But because gum stretches and is quashed down by teeth and some will melt in the acid, it would actually be harder to cause a blockage there then it is for corn. You would have to swallow it at a alarming rate. Like past the point where you wouldn't even want to stand the smell of gum anymore. There's no guarantee as well that all these pieces will magically squish together in your gut and block it. You eat it at different times it makes since it would pass at different times. It would still be two days form eating it but between 1 o'clock and 2 o'clock is still a difference. Enough to save a life. Even 10 minutes difference could. To siecrcly block it you would have to swallow a alarming amount. I'm talking enough to fill like 8 plates. These aren't spot on obviously but you get the point no human eats that much to begin with. Do you see now why people aren't exactly being rushed to the er over gum? And why that girls case is alleged? More realisticly a blockage is usually cause by gum yes on top of many other foods that are difficult to digest such as corn ect and usually within a short amount of time. It has happened but pretty rare. Not extremely rare but still rare. So don't start swallowing bullets because you can't stop swallowing the old juicy fruit. Chance is your not swallowing enough for it to be dangerous. And even if you tried you'd have more issues arise then just your stomach passing it. Because 29 I think he said Bill is realistically not that big or successful. For comparison the largest being the food processing industry is reported at 390 billion. 28 is almost nothing. Just sound like a big number when you don't have the comparison. So chance is your probably not eating that much gum to start with.

For various reasons, I never learned to spit the chewing gum,
I've been swallowing it my whole life of 18 years,
Apparently, nothing happened to me,
Maybe I'm an exception,
Like, my system have evolved to handle it!
What do you think WHAT IF?

If i went to the hospital due to some kind of medical emergency, they will probably just tell me to walk it off and go home. again. cuz why not send a non able bodied person back to a place where there is nobody who can help them.

Fun fact: bubblegum doesn-t stay in your body for 7 years, like seeds or berries, it travels through your stomach, and turns into stool or sh-t

That is why good parents never let their kids chew gum unsupervised and by law each piece of gum has to have a warning label not to swallow it.
