If scientists were to create the next human species, it would raise a number of ethical, moral, and societal questions.
From a scientific perspective, it would likely involve genetic engineering and manipulation to create a new species that is distinct from Homo sapiens. This could include the incorporation of genetic traits from other species, such as increased resistance to disease or enhanced physical abilities.
From an ethical standpoint, creating a new human species would raise questions about the rights and treatment of these individuals, as well as the implications for the future of humanity. There could also be concerns about the potential for unintended consequences, such as the possibility of creating a species that is superior to Homo sapiens and poses a threat to our existence.
From a societal perspective, the creation of a new human species could also have significant implications for how we define and understand what it means to be human. It could also lead to societal divisions and discrimination based on genetic differences.
It's important to remember that creating a new human species is currently impossible with the current technology, and even if it were possible it would raise many ethical and moral concerns that would need to be carefully considered before proceeding with such an endeavor.

I'm already part robot myself or cyborg, to explain I'm now 50 years old from downtown Hamilton Ontario Canada hope everyone is well and I was born with a whole in my heart and had open heart surgery when I was 4 the vaule in my heart was replaced by a pig value (which took 24 hours according to my father Nick) grew up fine until April of '06 got a blood clot which caused a stroke on my left side went through 3 months of rehab to learn to walk talk and take care of myself and then on September first of '08 I didn't wake up that morning had a cardiac arrest which both my cat Nemo and my then wife Angy saved my life was clinical dead when I arrived at Toronto general hospital they put me into a induced 2 day coma woke up not knowing what day time or any one around my bedside had open heart surgery again and have a defibulator/pacemaker just under my skin on my upper left side of my chest that has a wire attached to my heart and at the end of January of this year found out that I had stage 2 Colon Cancer which they removed the tumor growth by sugury (which wasn't fun) now using a electrical wheelchair when I'm outside of my apartment building living alone and get a Disability check from the government here to live off: -(

The question in my mind is: Would it be better for us to create something new, be it a new human species, or AGI? Conversely, should we focus instead on improving ourselves? Because, as I see it, new actors on the scene will lead to new opportunities, but many issues and conflicts as well. We struggle to coexist at times, just one species of humans. Add another intelligent life to the mix and things will inevitably get more complicated, though it's likely a done deal at this point. Pygmalion's statue may soon come to life.

I actually started a book based on this concept. Many years into the distant future, humanity has lost the ability to reproduce, so the last few remaining humans designed an ai system that they would give control of earth to before finally going extinct as a species. Not some hostile takeover, but a bittersweet moment as we cease to be hoping beyond hope that the ai system would be up to the task of maintaining earth's ecological balances

This future is extremely unlikely because, on our current scientific trajectory, it looks like we are actually going to achieve artificial general intelligence (AGI) and mind-uploading relatively soon - sooner that-s a mature form of gene editing. And since mind uploading is a better solution than gene editing, that-s the direction humanity will likely go.

They would destroy us because we're a divided world nobody likes anybody always crime and war, the machines would see that, and eliminate mankind as useless, and take over the planet.

Sir,
What if we live in 12 hour a day? Since Earth is completing its rotation less than 24 hours. Scientist says that days are getting shorter. What if that will happen?

It has already begun, the genetically modified twins are alive and healthy and Jeff Bezos is working on modifications that can make us live longer. Kinda like immortality

They already are.
They are using vaccines to turn Humanity into cyborgs and connect you to an AI controlled computer brain interface Against our will

I imagined the next Human species will be similar to the Castalians, Inaris, Hajiras, Heavy Worlders, and Nietzcheans from the Andromeda TV series.

What if? You already know the answer. The ones in power would make damn sure we had no rights and only worked for them. What else?

All of this sounds like what Star Trek did with genetic engineering which created Khan. Very, very dangerous when we go too far.
