I hate the Fermi Paradox. just because we've never found evidence, doesn't mean life aint out there. i mean, Earth was pretty much giant bird lizards for most of its existence. so whose to say that every single habitable planet out there isn't also full of its own prehistoric animals rn. and maybe sentience on our level or above, is rarer. how about this for a mind blow. there has to be a civilisation out there ion space that does it first. that evolves to solve ftl travel and communication. but what if that civilisation is us maybe there's reams of intelligent life out there, but just like a Star Trek ep from the 60's it's mostly full of civilisations that have only just reached their industrial era, or iron age, or stone age. scarier than being alone, is being the first. at least if we are alone, no one can see us fail as a species. but if we are the first, that's a lot of pressure to sort our sh! t out

No spieces ever lived unchanged for millions of years. Here is my prediction: Homo Sapiens will either turn into somethig entirely and unrecognisebly different in 100 million years, like tiny rodent live in holes or a scavenger barks in packs or just go extinct. A new spieces will evolve into intelligent in about 300 million years, then they will also go extinct. By the fifth billion years Earth will be home for the tenth intelligent spieces that build civilizations, no-one even think there were once humans on this planet, probably there even won't be any mammals around but brand new kind of life we cant even imagine now.

here are some key components we have to do to reach that type 3 civilization, first invent something that can power a spacecraft that is almost like a infinite source of energy it may not be infinite but something that could handle back and forth from planet to planet reaching speed of light without having to refuel for each trip, and then we would build a craft that can mine resources from other planet because earth would doesn't have sufficient resources that could build gigantic structures around the earth's orbit

The one question I have with all of the distance issues is - IF we are taveling at the speed of light - which will never be possible with mass - per Einstein, time doesn't pass for us, the traveler. So, from our perspective, provided we have an unlimited fuel/energy source, we could travel 13. 8 billion light yearsin the blink of an eye, no Correct me if I'm wrong but the whole 'time stops at the speed of light' is the one thing I think may be sort of - silliness.

Molecular reconfiguration device is one key to advancing in the type 1 direction. A system that can break apart compounds and reassemble them. This solves resource demands while also fixing waste stream issues.
The more likely reason we haven't heard or seen anyone else is possibly due to digitized existence. It's likely easier to solve for energy and create a digital paradise for a population then to build ships to survive the dangers of the universe.

You know why anything farrr away from each cant see us because the farther you are in space the lest interesting it gets for example rigth if their is alien life out there they can just see us with their advantage things did are not giong to city big city and advanced thing they giong to see the past like I told you already the father in space you see things less interesting they will probably see dinosaurs because ligth takes a lot of time to u

Ughh I feel like I struggled most of my life with how to manifest. Sometimes it felt so out of reach that I decided to give that archetype quiz by Vera Hart a try, and it really did wonders. It matched my personal archetype exactly, and that’s how I finally figured out how to do it properly. I highly recommend anyone who struggled like me to try it as well! It only takes a couple of minutes anyway: heart:

I think that AI will not destroy the peoples that are building is temple. Because AI is MAN MADE. It need the energie and Power for all the Processing center. No human no Power. Maybe for a wile. But At this point AI could not create or generate other machines that sustain there own power source that it need. It need Maintenance from us, Humans.

That's such a binary perspective to say not advanced enough or looking for the wrong things, very polar what about wrong time
Why cant ot be too soon or too late to see them We know light takes millions of years to get to us, so we are seeing their history not their present, so its time not what or how its when.

Elon doesn't deserve the glaze. why because he realised he was doing something wrong despite millions of people saying it was for forever before. the guy just buys businesses and hires people to run them, he does nothing for this planet. just his pockets and right wing exclusionary agenda. elon is a great filter.

Our only way forward is to become sustainable stewards of earth, improve our technology and make the most of our solar system ( terraforming, mining, resources, colonization) that may take us a few thousand years to master. But we will never, ever ever ever become an interstellar species.
reply

Could you imagine the cost of that design flaw The Earth habitat fails or its destroyed somehow, then Earth's gravity pulls the millions and billions of tons of debris twords the surface to destroy everything. I'd not go for that horrible design in reality
reply

global warming is our great filter, and we already missed the threshold to fix it i heard. and we're all sitting hoping Ai will help us despite us training it on our flawed selves that can't even help ourselves. if Ai kills us, it's cuz it learned from us.

I used to like this guy's videos. When he didn't care about showing himself. Now, he's become vain and is always showing his face and hands. I'm not interested in seeing a bad actor waving his hands wildly and making silly faces.

I'll believe it if we can even pass the TYPE 1 civilization, which seems practically impossible the way the world works together. We'll blow each other up before we can get passed race, cultural and religious differences.
reply

50% increase in ai usage everyday. all i heard was Ai data centres are using more resources the planet and people need 50% more everyday. type 1 and 2 civilisations couldn't be a capitalist society. it just wouldn't work.
reply

We may ultimately conclude that humanity is the sole intelligent civilization in the known universe. Evidence may suggest that we are the only living, intelligent species in our galaxy, if not the entire cosmos.
reply

It’s nice and all but no matter what happens. No matter how long humans manage to stick around. As long as we cant travel through time/space, we are doomed lol. The sun will eventually run out of energy
