100K special. My 12 best maps. lagrangewei: the use of disease to justify empire could not form is quite silly when you consider that most of those territory had seen empire that are more populated and productive than most european empire. the one thing u miss is that people who live in these area, developed immunity. rather than a weakness, it has become a strength because it means people from outside the zone do not like to invade them because their soldier will die. its just something for u to think about, your map are too european centric in that it assume diseases from the european pov. if we are looking from the american pov, all of the old world would be carriers for diseases and plague for them. so it is important to step back from assumption and escape limiting yourself to a pov.

2: 11i know you might never see this comment, but even if a lot of Alsaciens are still learning and do know how to speak german, they are still french speakers, and in luxembourg french and german are on an equal footing but the tongue in use is still luxembourish to my knowledge. you didn't made il val d'aosta as french speakers so why putting the alsaciens as german? also you may have not know that when you made your map but a part of switzerland is made up of french speakers.

I am down to see a history about a Feudal North America. I will add though being from the North West, that Eastern Washington isn't all Rockies and could make for a few small kingdoms or clans, and the central half of the state is scrub/grass planes. Of course with out massive irrigation the Eastern Nations would have to hug the Columbia and Spoken rivers.
Same with Idaho and the Snake river, unless you count that as the northern reaches of Deseret.

Just thought about it. if all the events in US history played out as is since the English colonization and medieval technology didn't evolve, the Confederate States couldve won the Civil War, or at least held off the Union long enough to win independence.
Logistics drove the Union victory, imagine this war without railroads, trains, and telegraph.

8: 00 For the purposes of organized states, they are [oceans]. At least you can sail across an ocean, and you won't get raided by sea monsters! The climate mechanic in Total Warhammer really puts this into sharp focus, at least until you stack enough public order modifiers to make those areas merely unprofitable rather that outright liabilities.

I dont think java is jungle lol its more subtropic i think especially due to the amount of mountain it is there. Java had always been large in population since the soil is kinda good due to the amount of volcanoes, it also had somekind of empire in the past remember the whole area of SE asia is very huge just try to compare it with europe

Hi I love these maps! But I just wanted to chime in and say that you should never use the term Scotch outside of talking about WHISKY. I noticed it on map 2 here, at around 3: 50. It's Scots, or Scottish. Never Scotch. Signed, a Scotsman who cares deeply about his celtic roots and also loves maps!
Keep making maps and vids! Very enjoyable

You should do a similar one about medieval technological realms in America, but do it as if the natives were able to progress to medieval society, what their borders might look like while taking into account the same geography, just not based on modern cultural borders and groups, but native ones. Might be cool!

Hello I am very intrigued by your presentation of number 3, the ancestry of America and how German is often overrepresented etc. I have found very little of this elsewhere online, but would love to explore the topic further, do you have any sources on this topic or any pointers?

Map 4 is supper interesting, i would love to see a video on it. also i think it made be based on or pulled from the After the End Mod from Crusader Kings 2. The mod is an absolute blast, its basically a free for all medieval post apocalyptic north america.
