Technology - from steel to server farm - has always changed what it means to be human. But what happens as we meld with ever more capable machines? thetruereality: 6: 45 What it really does right now is NO ONE's concern it is what it's going to do/could do in the future thats worrisome and you dont have a answer to that 'cause you're the damn CEO and you'd be happy to have bots do all the work for you whereas the rest of us have -real- jobs that are pretty much replaceable by bots

people are forgetting the potential for replika. we are getting closer to where we can copy someones brain, thoughts and emotions. one area this may be beneficial is copying people who are really intelligent, because when they die, all their knowledge and thoughts die with them.

Humans get attached to things we use all the time. It's called being tool users. Just because we've graduated from stone axes to keyboards doesn't mean we're part machine. To me, being a cyborg would mean that you actually replaced something, not just added something on.

Confronting things such as; pain, trauma and loss is an innately human thing to do. Avoiding these things however, is not and will simply lead to us dehumanizing ourselves and becoming so feeble minded that we won't even know how to respond when the power is out.

doesnt it mean you have some kind of problems if you talk to an ai with the intentions of building a serious relationship thats purpose is not to better the ai but instead tend to your emotions? cant advocate for that im sorry

Black Mirror is getting mentioned a lot.
Her. now it's ironic the robot calling that its favourite movie. a good one by the way, if you're into watching those semi-dystopian descent into madness type movies.

yeah talking to a replica of a person is pretty morbid, we are supposed to miss people that arent around or that we have lost, talking to a copy is like talking to a doll with their picture on it

EXOSKELETON DOESN'T EQUAL CYBORG
Exoskeletons are wearable -suits- that help with tasks.
Cyborgs are people with fully integrated technology implanted in their body.

That replica thig is freaking creepy. Like I see how it could help someone grieve but it would be really hard not to forget that it is just an algorithm.

Curious - since this is 'Presented By Adobe Marketing Cloud' - what exactly is their connection with the companies behind the technologies shown here?
