Any significantly advanced civilization would use a Dyson communication swarm. Is other things such as zada rays. However the primary form of communication would be simply blocking out their son's line buying collecting the majority of it as energy for them while also having the satellites turn to where they are not blocking the Sun's light so that they could easily send information of zeros and ones to other systems with ease where even moderately advanced civilizations like ours would be able to detect a noticeable difference in the light received.
Be there general purpose communication and they could have a much more advanced communication method for any other civilization that is on the other side of the universe. Light would be the perfect method for communicating with anything within its own Galaxy as long as they're on an area of the Galaxy where it won't be blocked by a massive black hole or something like that.

I have a question, why do scientists always say -for life elsewhere in the universe there must be liquid water and oxygen- etc- why are we assuming that everything in the universe must follow our rules? It-s been established over and over that the universe doesn-t play by the rules of physics so why should it play by biology? For all we know, there could be life forms out there who breathe helium and swim in lava, why are we assuming everything must play by OUR rules just because we do?

If we ever see an alien coming to our planet, we should probably shoot it down asap. Their technology is far superior than ours and if they have the same mindset as white colonizers then we are screwed. Sure, that one alien might not come with bad intentions or maybe they are all enlightened beyond expansionism and exploitation, but I don't think that we could guarantee that. The risk is just far too great. If they are malicious and technologically superior, what then?

The universe is just beyond magnificent. Literally everything about it is so incredibly mind blowing, scary and mysterious. I strongly think aliens exist. I just cannot except that we're the only ones in the entire universe. That just can't be the case. It's estimated there are 1-10 trillion planets in our universe alone and it's believed that it's possible there's other universes. At least 10 trillion planets and only 1 has life? There's no way

Humans have come up with ways to kill off our own species. Nuclear weapons, man-made climate change, etc. Plus, natural disasters like asteroid strikes could do us in. It is possible or even likely that any alien civilizations out there could have killed themselves off before they would have created the technology to contact us. Or they could have contacted us, but by the time we get their messages they will have already become extinct.

Today I saw Alien (1979) for the first time. What a movie. And a thought came to my mind. There will be a time in the future when a human being will be killed by an alien organic life form. Just as sharks have done to humans while exploring the oceans. How bears have done it too at their cold habitat. I think one day it will happen. And the person who will die like that is someone who hasn't even been born yet.

Pessimistic view perhaps: My question is why we would want to reach out to deep space to find aliens, when what we will likely do is send out a signal to a more advanced species that can follow that directly to where we live. If they are anything like us and are more technologically advanced, wouldn-t they want to inhabit our planet themselves (take over?

Jill Tarter keeps saying -we'll follow their rules. - Um, don't want aliens hearing that in space. Come on, humans don't even honor each other. She thinks humans will just accept alien-overlords or another species above humans? I don't think humans would recognize any gods let alone a superior or more intelligent life force.

As a species, humans have failed spectacularly at interacting with the non-human intelligence already on our plant. Thinking of how humans as a species have treated even OTHER humans on this planet, The best we can hope for if an alien intelligence comes to our planet is they see value in us as pets-and not food.

I truly believe if aliens find us they will simply enslave us. We will get to use some badass tech to harvest minerals for them but ultimately our lives as we know it will be over. They would only contact us if it was beneficial to them. Otherwise why do it? They don-t want our -Rona ravaging their people!
