7: 09 Pain is not a benefit. Pain is so bad that it is itself hurting. There wouldn t be any word like hurt if there was no pain. By that kind of evolutionary reasoning pain should be able to be kind of switched of or ignored when there is no chance of removing the threat or what is causing the damage. But there isn t because evolution doesn t care about you. What may actually be a fair point though, although it wasn t raised, is that pain tolerance may be an evolutionary advantage. The causes she mentioned essentially indicate how vulnerable you are and the more vulnerable you are the more dangerous anything which can cause pain is.

I had a recent visit to the dentist that required local, and the injection hit a nerve in the lower right quadrant. it felt like lightning in my face and head. And ever since, even just a light touch to my chin will send an echo through my lip and gums. It's bizarre! I wish I could get some scientific explanation on that.

7: 00 That's literally not true. Meta analysis of acupuncture research has consistently shown acupuncture to be ineffective as anything other than a placebo. Some biased researchers have tried presenting their data as if it works by including sham-acupuncture as if it's acupuncture. Acupuncture is pure pseudo science.

Why does the camera cut so much on zoom in and zoom out. Drives me nuts. I understand when it has to in order to cut down on information but zoom in and out after every sentence? Drives me nuts. Every video.

Oh man I've gotten brain zaps when stopping medication it's horrible. It feels like a weird electricity (btw I only stopped the medication when the pharmacy wouldn't fill the prescription on time due to the insurance company)

at least twice ive hit my funny bone and started laughing uncontrollably until i was sore and after i couldnt breath. I always thought THAT was why its called the funny bone and that it was a reflex like when you tap your knee
