Im 5 minutes into the video and Bastion might have been written with some Buddhist influence. Namely the whole purge your past, identity, and attachments to ascend to enlightenment. (In terms of death, your wholesome/unwholesome karma influences what you reincarnate as trying to reach Nirvana and stop the cycle of suffering) Christianity naturally conflicts with this belief since personality, identity, and memories - a strong sense of individuality - is supposed to be eternal. -I am my scars! -
Anyway, I still find it interesting to have a story in WoW where there is conflict between these two beliefs. Although, I suspect that Blizz wants to make the Light the bad side, and the Fallen Angel side, the good side. I think the Forsworn will be shown to be correct by the end of Shadowlands. Unless Im wrong by the end of the video that is lol.

What is the deal with all these temples? You think blizzard would go the extra mile and delv into more of the society of bastion for the intro. Its hard to differentiate all of them when all the people are blue and the only thing to go off of is that some have wings and some don't.

Am I the only one who thinks this is cheap and cheesy af, when we saw so many versions of hell and heaven through many expansions this has no weight, it is even more cringy when blizz revives all dead characters just to make it all sound louder, no thanks

This quest line gives me Disney movie vibes, it-s so goofy lol. Owl butlers, quirky robots and mean bad guys grrr, so far the theme of the maw and bastion haven-t really tickled my nuts here-s hoping to the other 3.
