By this point, Sylvanas is nothing more than some writer's -self-insert do not steal- Mary Sue. She regularly flips off gods and demons but very rarely if ever gets smacked down for it. It'd be one thing to make her badass, but at this point, she's just annoying. And then she goes into -greater good- and -I was actually one of the good guys all along- trash. Writers sometimes need to accept that the villain they invested so much time in. just needs to die. Conclude the damn story. Cliffhangers and hair's-breadth-escapes can only be used so many times until they make people just go -what's the point, she'll escape again just to promote the story-.

Let me guess: Once the jailer's plan is revealed and on it's way, Sylvanas will -wake up- and turn against him, Anduin will be saved and the Shadowlands restored. The jailer probably won't be defeated because he is villain fuel for the next garbage expansion. I haven't even bought Shadowlands but I already know everything that is going to happen, it's a superhero movie now and we all know it, pathetic writing, pathetic company.

before i watched this i knew sylvanas would act smug and then turn into smoke and fly away as soon as something bad happened, count me surprised, she actually turned into smoke TWICE! very unexpected /s
also why is sylvanas so powerful that tyrande needs elune's powers to fight her? i really don't follow wow that closely but shouldn't they be roughly on par in power level?

This cinematic could have been good if they actually let Tyrande kill Sylvanus here. Instead, they do another -deus ex machine Sylvanus got away, - and ensure that Tyrande never accomplished anything of significance as the night warrior, total disrespect for her storyline.

I believe Elune cut Tyrande off from her power for a reason. The power she tapped into was going to consume her life. Elune did not want that and stripped her of that power to preserve her life.
