I just can-t take any of this lore seriously when the writers are still treating shadowlands like it happened. It destroyed so much of the pre-established lore, it was the death of interesting lore for me.
I-d rather see blizz act like shadowlands never happened that admit it exists. Medan was just a Mary sue character, that expac was so much worse.

Maiev the most stubborn tradition freak in nightelf lore is like: yeah screw traditions.
It's almost like the current writers are out of touch with the characters to the point where they do not even know about the lore established since wc3. Feels weird and like they just did this to hype up anew character nobody gives a damn about.

I still never understood the logic behind sending Sylvanas away like that. She is extremely powerful and furthermore it isn't like the Alliance or Night elves didn't have tons of blood on their hands as well. Just never understood why they seemed to be setting up where we can choose, but then just decided nah Sylvanas was always bad.

I mean I like Maiev so I'm happy that they reversed her dumb Wolfheart characterization but it's still kind of funny whenever they pretend she wasn't a literal serial killer in that book.

I usually notice callbacks to other cinematics. But I JUST noticed that in the sentencing, Tyrande was circling behind Sylvanas talking about her fate in the exact same way Sylvanas was explaining her understanding of fate to Anduin in Torghast. Even saying -every soul- in the same tone.

My good god are the night elves and tyrande just such egotistical pieces of shit. The night elves too, are basically a group of people who if you accidentally gave them mayo on their burger when they asked for it without they would be the kind of person that straps a car bomb to it

New lore written by people who value making sure feelings aren't hurt in a game about death and war. It really shows and it's boring. Thankful i can still read the old books where the he stories were juicy and the characters not so bland.

Maive remains one of my favorite WoW characters. Can-t have the boring default -good character corrupted into being evil- character when they-re already part evil. Her and Lilian Voss are so amazingly well written
