Just finished this audiobook. The narrator did a pretty good job.
Fascinating how this was written in 1974 while depicting space travel and interstellar politics with such realistic detail.
I did not exactly enjoy the first hour since it just dumbed SO many names of people, places, lore and bachground story etc all at once, I had to restart it with a notepad.

Peter F Hamilton probably read this book when all the old heads leaving comments did some 40 years ago.
Judas unchain the prime emotile and emotile would similarly bread out of control and never got rid of their warlike tendencies viewing the whole of creation as zero sum game.
I like to trace the inspiration of other writers it gives clarity.

I have read this book multiple times --and this superb audio production really let me hear a deeper level of craftsmanship in this most excellent novel.
