The book is more of an exercise of world building on Miller's part. It's a shame that he could not finish the book himself, or probably it could've been more concise. He was a master of short stories and novellas - the Canticle is basically 3 short stories, with one overarching theme. The world is rich, the familiar humour is there, the reality of the post-postapocalyptic world is much dirtier and cruel. I enjoyed the upload either way, it's not a must read, but enjoyable.

It's interesting that he chose to go back to the 31st Century to start this story. I had expected that the sequel would follow the Wandering Flock to Alpha Centari.

Thanks you so much for uploading this and part II. It’s not available via audio books sites for some reason. Either way, kudos to you my friend!
