The impossible- is a fair movie but other movies actually deserves the first spot. 2012 is the GOAT, actually and you out that in honorable mentions. It's like you might be getting paid to rank movies like this. What about Volcano ( Legendary, Tommy Lee Jones )

Twister, Dantes Peak and Armageddon kicked off the new Disaster Age. All three came out in mid 90s about the time dolby and thx stadium theaters were coming into popularity. They should be the three on the pedestal as they drove all the other ones after them.

Surprised The Perfect Storm wasn-t at least mentioned. Never seen The Impossible so 2012 was my pick for first. Only the Brave made me cry the one time I saw it. San Andreas makes me cry every time.

Seen them all except for The Wave and Poseidon but watched the classics, The Poseidon Adventure and Beyond The Poseidon Adventure and also loved The Towering Inferno. Love disaster movies. ----

That is a really good list. I saw all of them. But i miss the movie -St. Helens (1981)-. It is based on the volcanic eruption in May 1980.
