I don't think people like talking about privilege but it's a conversation we must have. Greg: See the girl who had the Ivy League parents was the furthest ahead and she get bad about her privilege. Why? Her parents worked their asses off to get to where they were just as she did. Right place right time. Do good with whats presented in front of you.

I feel like the connotation with the term privilege changes. When youre growing up, being called privileged is such a negative thing and even now sometimes I dont like myself for being privileged while other people have it harder. But then when youre an adult, all you want to do is give your kids more privileges than you had and my parents always say how proud they are to have given me choices and advantages that they didnt have.

If you don't know what I have been theough. How come they call me privilaged. Is it because I'm white. I got money from my self. I did things to go places in life doesn't mean I'm privilaged. I guess doing better in life means your privilaged?

Wow, I would be in the very back and I consider myself more privileged than many other people. Buzzfeed could have dug much deeper in this video. There are different types of privilege than just how much your parents make.

I always thought privilege was something you just received without working for it, like your gender, age or race? Dont really see how working hard to get a well-paying job can be called privilege

The problem is though that there was a lot of key privileges you missed out and others you included that would would say were strictly income privilege related if you were truly sticking to just that

ew at annoying buzzfeed trying to take a stab at addressing privilege and then uses ppl who work together rather than strangers! pls leave this to the Youtube accounts who are actually good at this

What can be really hard, is talking to a privileged person whos trying to down play their privilege as if they are on the same level as you when they most definitely arent.
reply

Buzzfeed: you have a higher income, you are privileged and have an easy life
reality: You probably worked your ass off to get that position were you can earn and provide
