As someone with nystagmus that was formed as a baby, Im really annoyed that the law enforcement system still uses it as a means of testing for sobriety. Its an extremely outdated practice and could be very inaccurate when testing people that ACTUALLY have nystagmus.

Y'all do know if a cop really wants to get you if you've only had a drink within an hour and he makes you follow his finger your eyes will bounce up and down give or take some time I learned that from my dad so it might not be perfect

The finger one is not fair. I, for example have a lazy eye, so one of my eyes would look like Im looking in a different direction and then my other eye would be just fine. Kinda ironic rn because of the protests lmao.

I have an eye problem were if you put something to close to my eyes it cants focus so even if I'm drunk or not my eyes won't focus and would do the thing that happens if your drunk
