Finding items from another culture is often times guesswork in understanding their function. Those three had absolutely no reference to the items they telephoned aboard their ship. Because the had no reference, they were often wrong in deciding the function of the item(s. Except for the music they heard being played by that jukebox.
Would have be good to know was the cause of the destruction of the Earth; it appeared it was struck by something big.
This has to be one of the best Dust shorts posted, if not the funniest.

Beautiful film less than 20 minutes. It's the end of the human adventure on Earth. A group of alienologists from another planet study our floating junk in the planet's orbit. Note how extraterrestrial scientists do not understand each other and are even harsh with each other. Until they collect an old Junke Box and a few pairs of dancing shoes. It's exciting! There is no need for subtitles or dubbing, as the only languages used are those of aliens, music and dance

Put this one into your SAVE list folks. I did the first time I watched it. I've watched it multiple times, and there will be many more times I'll watch it. But if you're going to pop it up in Throwback Thursday, well, heck I watched it again!
What a pleasure this one is. I play it whenever I just need a feel good smile. Yes, the earth is in pieces, but part of us, a wonderful part, continues to give joy.

I really don't know why, but this made me cry really hard. It was a bittersweet kind of feeling, to see the end of us, but our souls preserved within our music and art that was left behind, only to give joy to others who want to know who we were. It's hard to describe but this was such a beautiful and incredibly well done short film. The actors/dancers were just brilliant. Loved every minute of this!

To be honest, while the tap dance was entertaining, I enjoyed the parts leading up to it more. I liked the interaction between the two males and how they seemed to be afraid of the smaller female. It was also fun seeing them try to figure out what common items were.

Oh no! Now the aliens have been corrupted by our leftover junk. No! Throw it all overboard aliens, FLEE! FLEE FOR YOUR LIVES! lol. Seriously, it was a great video. Enjoyed it very much and watched to the very end! Thank you!

The choreography is wonderful, and I love the fact that the beginning could be described as If Blue Man Group and the Minions had a baby. ; )

I like this. Its funny although I imagine if aliens used this technology they be more advanced and not act so silly like us humans. But who knows!

I'm curious as to the average age of the people who liked this is. I'm 48 and loved it after a slow start was thrilled to have stayed.

At least you can leave a good record of society for the next aliens that find you, whether terrestrial or extra-solar.

I thought this started with Blues music. Then the next music was Bing Crosby tap dancing. Was that it Very entertaining.
reply

I absolute love this. I love most of what you guys do but this one made me smile and laugh and nostalgic. Thank you!

I bet you this was the first time an advert for actors in a sci-fi film included the phrase must be able to tap dance.
reply

Just beautiful. Very well executed. The music was exactly where it needed to be. Very likeable characters.
reply

Theatrical agent to client: So, they want three actors to play light blue aliens. Can you tap dance
