So an interesting thought experiment forms here. If this was released to the public and as a result, the existence of heaven and hell were confirmed to the masses, would you sign up to experience this temporary death to see where you might go You might spend a lifetime in hell instead of heaven, but having this knowledge may allow you to make some sort of change in your life in hopes of changing the outcome.
If you would experience a lifetime in hell, the question then becomes could you do it multiple times (which would be the only way to actually ensure the actions resulted in acceptance to heaven) And yet you may still have to do it even after that to make sure you don't do something to lose your ticket So to speak. This obviously could spiral out of control, and only feed an unsettling neurosis

Well he should have known something was off. He didn't wonder where the giant doorway in the test chamber came from, or why the walls were bleeding Or how his daughter showed up out of nowhere I guess the good news is the machine works, so he'll only have to watch his daughter die a few thousand times before the death serum wears off. The assistant could see the door to heaven but it wouldn't open, and the scientist could see the door to hell but it wouldn't open. He better hope the machine doesn't crash during his 40 seconds.

If I'm not thick as a brick, (and that I am is a possibility I've come to accept) that fella's set to be stuck in that room as it is for a very long time. Moreover, his mood is likely to be a little sourer than his younger colleague's was when whatever that stuff in the syringe was wears off and he wakes up. Terrifically clever sci-fi/horror piece. It's difficult to imagine what feels like an eternity in that disaster-ridden room. I wonder if he'd have the power to physically injure himself in that place.

There is a theory that the after life is of your own making. Your own personal heaven or Hell. A man who has no guilt sees the crystal gates of heaven. The man who just murdered his friend lives in hell. This also shows mans great ability for self deception. We can deceive ourselves into believing we are doing good when in reality we are doing evil. Religion, Science, politics are all examples in which masses of people have deceived themselves into believing they are doing the greater good.

Maybe there are some doors better left closed. For now at least. We are a very curious species but we need to be very careful not to rush things we don't understand well enough. Mistakes are made when we rush things. Interesting story and as usual provokes thought. Well acted and put together.

Great work! Incredible story brought to a very stark life!
This shows the current mindset of most every permanent politician-scientist and their quest for power, money, fame, and personal targets. I hope these self serving scientists all end up like this guy.

Dear Dust Team, For the millions of deaf and partially deaf people in the world, I ask you to add at least English subtitles. I am not deaf but just imagined how it must be for deaf people to see this but can't hear what has been said.

I played a game recently and now watching this, it reminded me of it. It's called Tartarus Engine. Or maybe it was Infineural, I get those two confused. All really great ideas, kinda makes me want more of it, especially this film

What's happening in 3: 57 As we see, the first guy wakes up and he seems to had a good experience not like we hear in the recorder.
If what we see is real, what happened to the lab Why there is blood everywhere

reply

Not sure why the going back and forth from what is going to happen and what is happening. To make it more confusing The twist And what was he doing in hell if the door was closed Pre-hell
reply

you can't use animals like this to open gateways cause according to some religions animals don't have souls, which is why when they tested on animals nothing happened

Why, when having so much talent, why devote it to such mediocre scenario which is nether uplifting, neither healthy entertaining, nether sharing an inspiring message!

An evocative, very human drama about what heaven would be like - for kindly, well-intentioned people, and what hell would be like - for reckless, ill-tempered people.

This was awesome. Reminded me about the idea of Event Horizon. Good actors, scene, direction. Very well done, and most importantly, I enjoyed it

Garrett M. Brown - the moment I heard his voice. He's been a constant in so many movies and TV shows I've loved. Very cool to see him here too

Show flashing lights, smeared blood, broken glass and twist a few wires together and voila. you have yourself a B rated movie.

I didn't see that twist coming. Great story idea, well acted and well written. Wish we could see more like this!

Haven’t finished yet but whatever bad happened is deserved because they tortured animals.
Edit: oof.

Cool! This is how reality works for each one of us. We create our own reality and live life accordingly!

I found this to be a great film, until the final moment, at which I had no idea what had happened.
reply

It took me a while - I had to watch it again - but I figured it out. Very complex but well done.
reply

Overacting. Nobody makes all those gestures when alone on a tape recorder. Find better actors
reply

Eh, good story but the Christian-forward heaven/hell dichotomy kind of lost it for me.

So they open a portal to another dimension (Hell) and let lose the mysteries of Pandoras Box.
