Judging by the realtor's reaction something horrific occurred. But what
Why near the end is the brother finally able to open that whatever it is It also sounded like he was screaming after entering that whatever it is. Why Overdose of radiation That was evident before he opened it.
From the beginning it held my interest. Questions began with the sister's unhappy attitude and what the brother started exposing. Why was the sister unhappy when she lived there What was that thing the brother exposed Had it been there when their dad was alive, or was it the cause of their father's death
A nice twist in a movie or short is one thing. But building up to a grand ending then leaving the viewer hanging is another thing.

Nah, it's not that big a leap to see what happened. The dude's father had some weird alien thing that he didn't what tf it was. And so when the son realized this, he tried not to sell it because he knew it wasn't um, entirely benign. He had to fend off the loonies who wanted to open this scary unknown into the world. After he does that, he's still dying, and so figures the best he can do is go in there himself and try to fight whatever it is off at its source. When the realtor gets there, it becomes apparent thatit's not going so well for the dude in there.

The 'smaller' yet still normal sized MIB is what Peter Dinklage Would have looked like without dwarfism. Long lost Twins Real talk. Great lil film, minus the cut off ending, These smaller films are a go to for Creativity, not tropes. Yes only intelligent film enthusiasts watch these Dust films, still yet, that's not an excuse to poke me in the eye at the end and run off with a devilish laugh.

Ah now! That went no where! I don't mind when stories leave u wondering. But there is a time and place for that. This wasn't it.
The story had nothing much going for it, so the ending did nothing for it. But if I had to end it with a question mark, I would have stopped at the second last scene, when he went into the machine.

There are some similarities with the Tommyknockers of Stephen King. I think there was a spacecraft buried under the garden and the house, i. e. the wandering comet. It is emitting strong radiations.
The young man manages to launch it and the house is destroyed. I don’t know why there are screams inside the spacecraft.

Even if the crater was a problem to dig. even the CHEAPEST f/x are in anyone’s budget to find some foundation before it’s poured, shoot at night, then superimpose it onto a matching skyconsidering we haven’t actually seen a long shot of the old house, really. Lots of smoke. Could be done fairly well. (Not by me, lol)

DUST = Dystopian Undeveloped Sci-fi Tales (for the most part.
Like this one ending.
The director guides the viewer to the end quite well and then doesn't seem to know how quite to bring it to an end or doesn't have the budget. This cut-to-credits is getting old here and very annoying. Uneventful.

Gosh. .. bunch off babies in the comments. I dont like open endings what no ending! But thus one is the real kicker i dont want to use my imagination! Smh if you dont want to use your imagination then go to back to network television where you can be spoon fed like the babies you are.
reply

Didn't like the ending
First, something unknown happened to the guy in an unknown place
Second, the salesman saw something unknown
The core things are unknown!
I would be pleased if the salesman would have seen a 10 km crater, filled with lava, spaceships, spheres.

Some dust films are good but this isn't an example of one. Unfortunately, there just too many the cut the end so abruptly that the feel like they're a chair chapter or trailer, not a story. Murray a beginning middle and no end. It's gotten common, boring and overused.
reply

Definitely well done, but that ending was lazy. There's no blank to fill in or anything to use your imagination to piece together the ending is straight up missing. Unless there's and intended part 2 which is unlikely this one is unfinished.
reply

These guys should learn the difference between teasing audiences to ask for more and leaving everyone hanging in the middle of nowhere good start but where the fck is the ending Was it inside the old man's briefcase Jeez.
reply

i thing it is good. and i managed to complete the film with my imagination, but i would really appreciate a few more scenes (it could be just few second long scenes, so that it does not seem so incomplete
reply

The least they could have done was make the ending real looking. I mean, what the hell was it that he somehow couldn't see while driving up, but struck him with awe after taking 10 steps forward
reply

Like most in this comment section I was interested only because I thought the end would provide some answers. Closureless films are like working out and getting no results.

This felt like it was going to be great. .. I'm still waiting for it. As a Sci-Fi fan, I'm super disappointed. My rant was going to be twice as long, so be (blessed) it wasn't.
reply

Finally a good film in a long time I've been waiting on Duss being left handed us what the hell I think it's good this is a great one thank you it's a good film
reply

Fed up with the non-endings, DUST is a big disappointment - I don't even know if this is a good story or jsu total waste of time. Not clever, just a waste of time.
reply

So wait why was he so sick but his sister wasn’t How did he know how to open it why was the realtor so rude why did he drop all his papers so many questions!
reply

So, hazardous materials suits and no names on the suits. that's like evil dolphins without frickin' laser beams for Doctor Evil. riiiiiight!
reply

I have to agree with everyone else. This didn't really tell a story. There was a start to one, but it ended before it actually went anywhere.
reply

I didn't like how she did folding that cardboard box. She did not even finished properly. After lifted up, will fall out everything.
reply

I usually love everything that DUST puts out, but not this one. Story lacked substance and the ending was meaningless.
reply

I have been recommended DUST for such a long time and I am just now realizing i have been foolish to not have been watching.
reply

I’m thinking that The only reason the realtor would drop his papers in shock would be if the house had vanished.
reply

To DUST: :: This surprise trailer business is annoying, please regulate.
To Dylan Harrington: Finish this. grrrrr

reply

It was Scientologists.
Xenu dropped his cellphone and needed it recovered because it had all his exes numbers in it.

reply

I feel like the filmmaker couldn't decide what story they wanted to tell, so they just didn't bother telling one at all.
reply

It was quite interesting, until it was cut in half. is it a trailer or there will be another part
reply

FFS!
I wanna know what the realtor saw!
Was it just the dead body It was it something more

reply

I enjoyed watching this.
It was really good. It would make for an very interesting movie.

Working into the night to move a few inches of dirt Is this guy the biggest wuss in the world
reply

Leaving the ending to my imagination I imagine the realtor seeing two giant rabbits humping. There!
reply

The year 2020. I figured it out! That's what's in there. The year 2020. Scary stuff.
reply
