Which scientist is actually an AI - Sci-Fi Short Film: Lab Rat
video description
Lets stay with the current setup: Why even going through this scenario What did it show more than before The daughter already had a romantic relationship. Coworkers did not realize anything extraordinary. The drama seemed totally unnecessary. It was not believable.
The reactions by the scientists seemed unnecessary as well. How about a systematic approach to figure out who is the AI Like in a SCIENTIFIC way Also the discussion between daughter and mother seemed so guess-y and totally unscientific. In general, the scientists are not portrayed well. People with PhDs working on AI have usually more sophisticated thoughts on AI.
I dont know about you, but I saw the plot twist clearly coming. As soon as the three scientists were locked up, it was quite clear.
I liked the atmosphere, the editing, the lighting and the actors performances though. And the general topic is neat as well. More realism is what I would wish for.

Loved this - and it made me think. The comment about feeling robots created by unfeeling (jaded, in this case) humans not ending well seems to be sadly true. But it may be just where our consumer society is going, because on some level, I think that is what is desired in our capitalist system. First we are asked what love means to us in various ways - some direct, some indirect ways - using that data we are fed a version of love that can be controlled and consumed, with $manipulators$ pulling the strings. Isn't that what 'The Bachelor' and the 'Bachelorette' are all about And weddings. She is right - she has billions in profits ahead of her. And, she can make the mate that she wants, since that other 'thing' did not work out for her. I'm referring to her wistful glance at the photo.

The R & D model might cost Billions as someone said, but was production driven by demand would bring the price down quickly to say the first 2 - 5 years of marriage. Many people if presented with a cost analysis AI vs real partner would op for the AI and in 20 - 30 years man(woman)kind would be on the road to extinction. If the whole person could be uploaded into one of the AI shells this might be a better path to human evolution. Co-existing with full Ads and human-AI hybrids might lead to a saner and happier world. Yes, I think writers tipped hand too early with the hot, passionate scene right out of the gate with the director's daughter.

Given that she almost got the man killed, he should have said, Over my dead body. only to find she was also artificial. Now that's a plot twist. It would be about the AI trying to manufacture more perfectly imperfect AI to fit into civilization. THINK! Oh, yes. one more thing; doesn't anyone care about the two employees who are now up for attempted murder and assault, and the employer's liability for gross civil rights violations Does anyone actually think when they write this crap

8: 18 - This is ridiculous, sorry. They have been KIDNAPPED. The logic course of action is to escape and call the police, not follow the instructions of the mad scientist.
End - Ridiculous movie. Why the test with the three scientists. Only to be imprisoned Because this is what will happen if they talk. One attempted murder and three kidnappings. That's the real end of this movie - jail. What a waste of time.

The ending bothers me. Because here's this guy, alone in a hall with a woman. This woman just lied to him and his colleagues, nearly got him killed as a result. It wasnt even one of them. and he just found out the woman he loved is a robot. Not just a robot but one designed to trick him. And she's pretty much gloating about it, and how she'll keep doing it. The problem He didn't immediately strangle her.

This was one of the most beautiful classic post-modern sci-fi movies I have ever seen. Complete immersion, and with very subtle undertones about humanity all throughout. The acting was incredible, especially by Mother, and the uptick in tension was palpable but still very well-managed.
And the soundtrack!
It literally does not get better than this! 10/10!

Wonderful concept, but we all know what people would do once something like this is made. Most can bearly consider life outside of the earth, mankind has not grown up yet. Humans need a spanking something that is beyond our understanding and then maybe some humans will grow up just a little. Otherwise, humans will stay on this mudball until the sun goes out.

Using AI to determine the next improvement in AI. Hm.
Given this is made in SA, however, you could add enough about racial interaction to fuel a few PhDs. Not to mention the morals and ethics of machines providing simulation of human emotion and interaction. The makers of this deserve to go far.

Not that far off from what this potential future might become.
It will not be a good time for humans, unless they can verify their relevance for being here.
I can see it now. .. relevancy scores for each individual (much like the social scores now in China.

I think therefore I am. That is enough for me, and I can be labeled as you will. I exist on the side of love and peace. Those of the opposite disposition, no matter their label, are just as necessary in the workings of nature. Judge me as you will.

LETS CREATE THIS, like. now!
Replacing Women with robots would sure cut down on the false Me Too accusations in the workplace (and everywhere else for that matter.
Less Male victims of Female predatory behavior.

Got to be a nightmare for some workers, to be trapped so, I can see a worker having a lil bit of c-4 and blasting cap to open the doors
And the Rise of the Machine/Cyclons will take place.
enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, with man desire to ask question of; Who are we, and Are we strong enough to play beyond God The ultimate question that many of us should be asking: Are we prepare to pay the price for being God

Of course, finding that perfect mate naturally would be preferable but as time runs down it would be nice to have this option so as not to have to cry alone because you are lonely anymore.

AI created 'plot lines'! Just like the soul-less garbage you current generation buy that you call music. Sucked up, twisted and thrown in the bin! SO SAD, but inevitable it seems

I liked it, but it felt a little bit too dramatic for me. The scientist locking the 3 workers in the lab felt like a plot device instead of something real.

The AI also seems to have picked a good man. An absolute upgrade from the original. I can't get any of my human friends to do that for themselves.

Crudest summary of this Alien, without a Xenomorph.
Edit: Scratch that, all of the above mixed in with a mass Turing Test.

So, within an hour of being locked up, people who are supposed to be scientists are throttling a man against a wall. Nope.
