Sci-Fi Short Film AI-POCALYPSE - DUST
video description
1. AI can certainly feel and understand emotions, maybe not perfectly or at all reliably yet, but if a stew of zappy beans can do it, silicon certainly can as well.
2. Getting AI to actually do something useful for humanity is a nearly impossible balancing act, mainly because not even humans can agree on what is morally right or wrong, and doing so is necessary if you want to imprint those moral values onto a synthetic mind.
3. The primary difference between synthetic and natural intelligence is its purpose and the method through which its created, and consequently, the way it behaves.

In the event you missed it. A world war was fought in 2020 and we lost to the newest superpower on the world stage. All the scholars of the recent past were wrong on how it would be fought for not a shot was fired and most did not even know we were at war let alone what was at stake. It matters NOT how they won only that we lost and there will be no getting it back as their (illegitimate) grip will only tighten in the coming years and just as we could not imagine a year ago how they were going to fight and win WWIII we cannot now imagine what their end game is that they have planned for all of us but I'm sure we'll know soon enough. Those in the dark will in all likelihood remain there.
How I envy their ignorance.

What is the difference
Besides Self Destructive Behavior
Is we are Mortal, evolving but Mortal.
In 1901 the lifespan of a Man was 35
By 2001 it was
81
They would design them to be stronger, faster, better reflexes, but man has been outgunned for a million years. Cave Bears, SabreCats, Mastadons & Mammoths.
Technology AI destroys us, but we adapt & overcome. a magnetic pulse platform would fry them, we would be back in 1901, but we would Survive.

Interesting, but when I was in Prep School for one week could select mini courses. One of mine was different dimensions, and if I remember correctly moving around in different dimensions doesn't involve time. One of the laws was a three dimensional creature (us) could travel up in dimensions, but not down. In other words, we can't move about as a two dimensional creature.

Pushing that coexist nonsense where different cultures are forced together & wars result. Instead of the globalist lie that we're all the same - after warring to retain different cultures & millons of dead - THEY push further that we MUST all blend into one huge amalgam where there are no individuals anymore - just one slave class to the few ELITE.

Nice, enjoyable and amazing what stories you can tell in 15 minutes.
2 issues.
The doctor would not have made an AI in the image of his daughter and then put her in stripper heels.
And
The flow of the story was marred by a sudden, graphic commercial for toe fungus medicine.
Otherwise, great story.

Lol, perfect low budget thinking here. Why make a costume, if you can just draw some lines on a dress with a blue pen, and call it a day. And weirdly it looks cool too! Enjoyed the story too, overall really well done with what I assume was a budget of nothing. Just goes to show it can be done.

Can we consider how she'd need infinite storage to remember the position and momentum of every particle in the universe
But suppose she does have that much storage: Even if those two men get their hand on her memory chip, the war would be over before they can even find the recordings of it.

Guess I'm anal. I AM x-Army. The general here with long hair all over his head just puts me off, had to quit watching. Five stars was a bit over the top, too.
Edit: Comments made me go back and watch. Glad the general got wasted.

I don’t see a 4th dimensional being concerned about the fate of three dimensional human. Human for one don’t really care about the fate of a line other than to use it in communication and understanding their world

We use the word humanity to refer to kindness & overcoming difficulty in a triumphal sort of way, but more and more we're starting to attach the whole meaning to it. Which also implicates the dark part of it.

The wish for ultimate knowledge to fix everything, once granted, results in learning that this knowledge makes one's own existence now one more thing that must be fixed. That's harsh.

Can the entertainment industry come up with stories in which our own military and law enforcement are not the villains From the 1960s to now, it's become such a predictable cliche.

This guy didn’t just build a conscious AI he also built a fully-functional Android, two entirely separate and both immensely difficult technologies.

This was very beautiful and intelligent, a wise truth rests subtlety in the script of the universe.
This could have easily been a miniseries.

Great story.
The least believable aspect is the idea that a man would build an artificial female body for his AI and not include giant boobs.

If I were to design a robot to mimic a human being, I doubt very seriously that I would dress it in six inch stiletto FM heels. Just sayin'.

Humans are an awful cruel species this world would be better without

Interesting answer. However, here's a better question. When you speak of humanity, who's the more humane, human or A. I.
