What happened to lawbreakers?

Many consider Lawbreakers (PC, PS4) a complete failure, but can how bad is it? Can it save itself? Let's talk! RK: Looking back, LawBreakers would have been far better as a free to play game or maybe only 10 bucks. TF2 is free to play and has been for many years with little issue. Many of the biggest games in the world both before and after LawBreakers (DOTA, LoL, Apex, and Paladins) are free to play. Saying that free to play is this ungodly thing that a developer or publisher can't do right is really ignorant.
LawBreakers biggest issue was getting players invested, not in core game design. Overwatch could cost 40 or 60 dollars because Blizzard is such a large company that they do not need to compete. Paladins, a much smaller project, went free to play to destroy Overwatch on accessibility meaning even those who have Overwatch can only lose a small bit of time to play. LawBreakers could have done that, but they didn't, because Cliff could not wrap his brain around an incredibly simple business model.

The gameplay look goods. However, there didn't investment much into advertisement. Most gamers haven't even heard of this game. And even if they heard about it, if they are going to buy a game, they might as well buy overwatch, since it have a much bigger community and backed by blizzard. Look at -No man sky- for example, it is a new indie companies, the game is a POS, it still managed to sold tons of copy and make a profit, this shows how insane of a difference good advertisement bring to a game.

such an overreaction to just shut the entire game down. Who knows? the game could have gained popularity in the future after everyone was bored of overwatch. I mean just look at Valorant, a shameless overwatch+csgo knockoff with no originality whatsoever somehow managed to get popular. Even i remembered this game and was curious to check it out but guess an entire game has to be scrapped even after developers put their hard time into it for no good reason. Same with battleborn tbh.

Yeah. Simple market saturation as you said. Only so many players so much time to dedicate to a game, which is typically hundreds of hours for someone. Maybe God of War will have developers (and the bean counters) focusing their efforts back on single player games a bit more now. Those games have a place because their time dedication is finite, and the multiplayer addicts are happy to play them while they take a break from their binging.

I honestly wish the made the game f2p but it's fine but tbh they should add more characters as well too, I understand that the games is hard core gravity but ppl these days really did like the games as well, N like u said that it came out at the wrong time, they really should have tried to find a better date or they around have just sponsored the game more so it would be more hyped and more ppl can see it as well

The game failed as it didn't have all the promises seen on launch as well as not launching on xbox, sure don't put the game on xbox but he went out of his way to mock players another problem would be the multiple other more well known and polished games that fall into the same category
Cliff bezenski practically mocked anyone that didn't wan't to get his game, making fun of his customers wouldn't work out.

I've never tried this game out, but I'm a huge Arena fan, e.g., UT / Quake series etc. I remember reading an early article about Law Breakers. The gameplay looked fun, but the overall theme, IMO, was pretty underwhelming. For whatever reason, it made me think of GoBots instead of Transformers. The graphics looked great, but the characters themselves looked too... generic. Hard to explain.

Zero G just wasn-t unique enough. Multiple games don-t need zero g to give you an intense firefight feeling. For me, titanfall instantly put this game down with its extreme movement. Multiple games are just better, cliff just slapped zero G on a FPS and expected that to carry its success thinking it would be something completely different.
