i wonder if Disney will take away the license from EA now?? i've always said that if you don't like something then don't buy it, but EA is a different story... EA is a shitty company overall for example the way they make their game devs work long hrs and give them the sunday off for -good behavior- i know you could quit and find another job but EA makes that very hard if you work and quit with them... with games well they own certain game companies and force them to do things.. for example make a Star Wars game centered around microtransactions, usually i would say hey don't buy the game but most players would be underage and their parents will buy the game for them because -hey its got Star Wars on the title so maybe its child friendly and would be fun for my child to play-
EA is targeting towards children to adopt a bad habit that they'll profit from for the lifespan of the player (just like how tobacco companies did in the past)... what the gov't should do is force EA to make this game and all other games like this -adult only- rating...

A widespread ban could potentially ban loot boxes that cost no real world money. I see that as a pretty big problem. You could actually argue that all loot, since it's randomized, is gambling too. If somebody buys something as simple as potions, to save time on crafting them, in order to take down a boss only to get a crap item...is that going to be gambling now? Cuz as far as the cost to the player and the potential loss of bang for you buck...it's no different. Yes, I'm presenting an extreme, but I'm trying to show how easy it is for a ban like this to spiral out of control and for law makers to start dictating not only the content within cash shops, but also the content in the game itself.

2:45 i think this is a step in the right direction. If gaming companies cannot add loot boxes in games (or make it more difficult to) then they have to figure something else out to make the missing money that they are now accustomed to. I would think making a product that is good, would make you more money. Instead they are making a product that is designed to continuously make money, while deterring future business. I would think the first one would make the most money in the long run.

All loot boxes in game are gambling, and the developers or the company should fined for and game that implements this shitty practice of loot boxes. It gives a bad exemple to children and for adults playing the game just ruines the whole experience.I dont think i can ever touch something made by EA ever again it messed up STARWARS GAMES i hate them for that.

Micro transactions are the bane of gaming, it's 100% pay to win and should not be in main console gaming, it basically says -hey you know that 60.00 you spent on this incomplete game? Spend some more money to get ahead and not actually develop your skills-

While i like how the lootboxes are being fought against, i don't like the involvment of the governments on it. The last things i want is every developer to start forcing censorship just because a certain governor thinks it's too violent. Right now they are for us, but how for long will they be?

Kinda late on this one .... but honestly , While most Lootboxes are really shit and DO deserve to be banned , They're not ALL bad , so the ban of lootboxes in general would be kinda shit for some games -3-

Personally, i don't buy things on stores, unless i do it to support developers, but loot boxes are a nightmare , if i want to buy something , i want to purchase it, not leave it to chance.
