What killed the prince of persia series?

(The Prince of Persia Saga is a big part of my childhood and teenager life. All started with the Dos-Games)
PoP SoT, because of its story, puzzles and interaction, leveldesign and feeling of control and freeness. In most parts of the game you have a pic of your goal. Then the last sequence, when you actually have to climb up the large tower in, center of the storm, and the sun is going down. This visual and climatic feeling will always be in my mind.
PoP Ww was amazing! The Prince had grown and the game did too. The story literally throw us into the deepest sea! More possibilities to control your enemies, an optional second blade for combat, with secret easter egg weapons, and the leveldesign and story mirrored the sinister and restless mood of the Prince and his situation. And then the most craziest plottwist. But no spoilers! Although finding out that the Dahaka is actually saying something when you reverse time after it talked, priceless moment.
I played both games a lot and over again!
Then Prince of Persia Two Thrones came out and I think it leaked on original ideas and definitely continuity of the series. I didn't liked it so much like the other two games of the series. It was fun, but although frustrating to play for me ... and I broke my controller in the carriage-chase. Big trauma!

Don't forget that PoP is a linear game while AC is an Open World... that makes a lot of difference and it gives AC and incredible amount of advantage over PoP.
And yeah its sad but in capitalism money TALKS and only money DOES... nothing else matters... the fans can go fk themselves Ubi still won't put effort in something that doesn't make high profit.

i remember playing prince of persia in DOS, it came with a mini book, and in some area in the game it need to drink potion, but only 1 potion correct the rest is poison, and the clue is inside that mini book, you must turn page bla bla, bla bla lines, and letter in row bla bla, good old days. im still in elementary school when i play this.

my all time favorites are the trillogy of course, they are very atmospheric, very nostalgic and very emotional none or less, i wish they could at LEAST remaster or remake them just for visual appearance so people can enjoy the game once again, if they will, i will buy collectors edition right away which i never do.

Prince of Persia ... Imagine a Game in the early 2000 with that Amazing Concept, Graphics, Gameplay !! Everything was fine and Enjoyable ;-;
i'd love to see Ubisoft making an Advanced 2022 Game about Prince of Persia it would revive everything !

now that assassin's creed games are becoming quite boring and very very forced, prince of persia could be something totally new and can start all over again. It is an opportunity that ubisoft should consider adding in their -to do list-

Prince of Persia for ps3 and Xbox 360 was actually ment to be a co-op game, this Took some turnes and ended Up becoming the first assassins Creed game.

Assassin's creed 1,2,3 brotherhood, black flag are the only good games every other entry sucks. The 2008 pop was pretty boring and repetitive for me.
