God of war - top 10 easter eggs & references

God of War (2018, PS4) is filled with callbacks and easter eggs to previous games and stuff in pop culture. Here's what we found! Gomace: What I find the most unrealistic about kids in games and movies is how they do everything correctly. Kids mess up, even unintentionally, because they try to be more optimal, but realize on a whim they're sub-optimal.
Like when Atreus is lighting the candles, it would make sense to light some of the front candles after a few of the back ones, before moving to the ones further in the back, because he would try to be optimal by taking the closest candles first, but he would soon realize that lighting the closest candles early leave the back candles harder to reach, and forces him to move around the table.
Experience inconvenience. Annoying, but real.

The Greek world is not neighbor with the Norse mythology...it doesnt have a border even Cory Barlog (Developer) said its not exactly a border in an interview... (spoiler)in helheim you can see some sort of like painting on the wall when youre fighting a traveler enemy after fighting with baldur...it shows that theres different galaxy or something that represent all different mythology and someone is travelling in a boat

Ok number two. Eye of Horus. Shinto (I know Shorenryu uses that sigil.) Omega
And the Celtic spiral. None mean War like Kratos says. But more to the point Mirmir has a conversation about coming from a western Island. Of course it acknowledges Celtic Pantheon at this point. I forsee TYR making another cameo but very curious on if Morrigan could make an appearance.

I think the dark mist at the mountain, the ogre, the dragon in the mountain, and Mimir are a reference to Skyrim-s high hrothgar.
Dragon= loosely based off of Paarthurnax
Mimir= a wise greybeard
Dark mist= the mist that blocks the path to paarthurnax
The Ogre= the frost troll that blocks the entrance to High hrothgar

Another easter egg: (SPOILERS)
When Kratos and Atreus look at the murals in Jotunhiem Kratos peeks at a mural behind a -curtain- which shows Kratos dying in Atreus's arms and then the -curtain- covers it up.
Which gives me a strong feeling that Kratos is gonna die in the next game.

What about in tyrs vault when kratos smashes the pot with him on and atreus asks if he likes to break pottery this seemed like a legend of zelda call back

-Number 100: if you play the game there is a cave that-s pretty dark and it-s a reference to my dark and cold life. I-ll take it and honestly it-s pretty cool.-

i don't think god of war is going to other cultures or other worlds. I think they showed the different gods to show how big the god of war world is.

I don-t think the sisters of fate are an easter egg because the nord mythology also has three sisters of fate (or at least three women)
